Enabling or disabling AI settings for specific rooms or locations

Account owners and admins can configure AI settings specifically for Zoom Rooms using the location hierarchy in the admin portal. Admins can enable or disable AI features like meeting summaries, smart recording, and question-asking capabilities at the account, location, or individual room level. Users must claim ownership of ad-hoc meetings through QR code scanning or email verification before accessing Zoom AI features. Once claimed, the meeting automatically inherits the user's personal AI settings.

How to configure AI settings for specific rooms or locations

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center.
  3. In the side menu, click Product configuration .
  4. Click Rooms, then Zoom Rooms. 
  5. You can use location hierarchy to configure this setting for a specific room or location. Click Account Settings to configure it for the entire account. 
  6. Click the AI tab.
  7. Under Account Meeting Settings, click Go to Account Settings.
  8. Click the toggle, check boxes, and/or drop-down menus for the desired settings. 
  9. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting. 

How to configure the reminder for the host to enable AI

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.

  8. Under the Meeting heading, click the Remind me to turn on Zoom AI when I'm hosting a meeting toggle to enable or disable it.
  9. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  10. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
