Using Coda within ZoomMate

Connect your Coda account to Zoom to seamlessly create, manage, and search Coda documents directly within Zoom.

You can also use Coda with Zoom Canvas and Zoom Whiteboard.

Requirements for using Coda within ZoomMate

• Zoom AI for third-party apps must be enabled by account owners and admins and the third-party app must be integrated with ZoomMate
• Zoom desktop app
  • Windows: 6.4.5 or higher
  • macOS: 6.4.5 or higher
  • Linux: 6.4.5 or higher
• A paid Zoom license (Online, Pro, or Enterprise)
• A Coda account

How to connect your Coda account with ZoomMate

1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
2. In the side panel, click ZoomMate.
3. In the chat box, click the add icon .
4. Click Connectors, then Coda.

Note: Authorizing the Coda app grants ZoomMate access to your Coda documents, folders, and pages.

How to disconnect the Coda app

1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an account admin or owner.
2. In the top-right corner, click Manage.
3. In the navigation menu, click Added apps, then Coda.
4. Click Connections.
5. Click the ellipsis icon , then Disconnect.

Note: Coda app configuration data is deleted automatically when you remove the Coda app from the Zoom App Marketplace.

How to create Coda documents and pages

Create a new document

1. In the ZoomMate chat box, use one of these methods:
   • Type "Create a Coda document [document name]"
   • Type "Make a document called [document name]"
2. To include content, add it to your prompt: "Create a Coda document called 'Meeting Recap' with content based on our discussion about project timelines"

Create a new page

1. In the ZoomMate chat box, type "Create a page [page name] in document [document name]"
2. You can include meeting notes, transcripts, or summaries in your request

Note: If you don't specify a title, ZoomMate will prompt you for the required information.

How to update Coda documents

Update document titles

1. In the ZoomMate chat box, type "Change the name of [current document name] to [new document name]"
2. ZoomMate will confirm the change and provide a link to view the updated document

Update document content

1. To replace content, type "Update the content of [document name] to [new content]"
2. To add content, type "Add the following content to [document name]: [content to add]"

How to search and view Coda content

Search for documents

1. Type "Find me all documents with [search term] in the title"
2. ZoomMate will return a list of matching documents with clickable links

View document content

1. To view full content: Type "What are the contents of [document name]?"
2. To get a summary: Type "Provide a summary of [document name]"
3. To find specific information: Type "What is [specific detail] in [document name]?"

How your data is used

Zoom's Coda marketplace app allows Zoom Communications Inc. access to your Coda documents, folders, and pages. To do so, you'll need to share Coda permissions. The permissions you'll share with Zoom Communications Inc. include:

• Access Coda content: Zoom Communications Inc. will have permission to access your Coda documents, pages, and folders.

By authorizing this connection, the Coda app maintains ongoing access to your information.
