Using Notion within AI Companion

The Notion integration for AI Companion allows you to create, update, and access Notion pages directly within your workflows. This integration serves as a knowledge base connector, enabling you to interact with both structured and unstructured content in your Notion workspace without leaving the AI Companion panel.

How to connect Notion with AI Companion

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
  2. Click the Home tab or click the AI Companion icon from your active tab.
  3. In the Write a message or type / for more field, click the add icon .
  4. Click the My Apps tab then Notion.

Note: Authorizing the Notion app allows AI Companion to access your Notion pages, blocks and users.

How to disconnect the Notion app

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an account admin or owner.
  2. In the top-right corner, click Manage.
  3. In the navigation menu, click Added apps, then Notion for Zoom.
  4. Click Connections.
  5. Click the ellipsis icon , then Disconnect.

Note: Notion app configuration data is deleted automatically when you remove the Notion app from the Zoom App Marketplace.

How to create Notion documents

  1. In the AI Companion panel, type a command like "Create a document [title]"
    Note: You can specify both title and content in your command.
  2. To create a document with content, use the format: "Create a document [title] with the following content [content]"
  3. AI Companion will create the page and confirm once complete.

How to update Notion documents

Update document titles

  1. Use the command "Change the name of [current title] to [new title]"
  2. AI Companion will locate the document and update its title

Update document content

  1. To append content, use: "Add the following content to [document title]: [content to add]"

How to search and extract information

Search documents

  1. To find documents, use: "Find me all documents with [search term] in the title"
  2. AI Companion will return matching documents with their links

Extract content

  1. To view document content, use: "What are the contents of [document title]"
    Note: Content extraction is limited to 300 characters
  2. To get a summary, use: "Provide a summary of [document title]"
  3. To find specific information, use: "What is [specific detail] in [document title]"

Note: When multiple documents match your search criteria, AI Companion will ask you to specify which document you want to work with.

How your data is used
