Using OneDrive with AI Companion and Zoom Virtual Agent

The Microsoft OneDrive connector allows you to seamlessly access, create, and share Microsoft 365 documents without leaving Zoom. You can quickly create Word, PowerPoint, and Excel documents, manage sharing permissions, and access your files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint.  Additionally, admins can connect OneDrive to Zoom Virtual Agent via the Zoom web portal, enabling voice or chat agents to access supported tools.

You can also use OneDrive with Zoom Chat.

Requirements for using OneDrive with AI Companion and Zoom Virtual Agent

AI Companion requirements

• Custom AI Companion add-on
• Custom AI Companion for third-party apps must be enabled by account owners and admins and the third-party app must be integrated with AI Companion
• Zoom desktop app
  • Windows: 6.4.5 or higher
  • macOS: 6.4.5 or higher
  • Linux: 6.4.5 or higher
• Zoom web app
• A paid Zoom license
• A Microsoft 365 account with OneDrive or SharePoint access

Zoom Virtual Agent requirements

• Account owner or admin privileges for the Zoom web portal and Workday
• Basic, Pro, Business, Education, or Enterprise account
• Zoom Virtual Agent license
• Zoom Virtual Agent edit access

How to connect OneDrive with AI Companion

1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
2. Click the Home tab or click the AI Companion icon from your active tab.
3. In the Write a message or type / for more field, click the add icon .
4. Click the My Apps tab then OneDrive.

Note: Authorizing the OneDrive app allows AI Companion to access your OneDrive folders, pages and content.

How to disconnect the OneDrive app

1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an account admin or owner.
2. In the top-right corner, click Manage.
3. In the navigation menu, click Added apps, then OneDrive.
4. Click Connections.
5. Click the ellipsis icon , then Disconnect.

Note: OneDrive app configuration data is deleted automatically when you remove the OneDrive app from the Zoom App Marketplace.

How to create Microsoft 365 documents

Create a new document

1. Click the + menu in AI Companion panel.
2. Hover over OneDrive to see supported commands.
3. Use one of these methods to create a document:
   • Type a command like "Create a document" or "Make a doc"
   • Explicitly mention "Word" in your request
4. Provide a title for your document when prompted.

Notes:

• You can include meeting notes, transcripts, or summaries in your document creation request.
• Only DOCX and TXT formats are supported for document creation.

How to manage documents

Update documents

1. To rename a document:
   • Use the command: "Change the name of [current title] to [new title]"
2. To update content:
   • Use the command: "Update the content of [document title] to [new content]"

Search and read documents

1. To find documents:
   • Use the command: "Find me all documents with [keyword] in the title"
2. To view document contents:
   • Use the command: "What are the contents of [document title]"
   • Use the command: "Provide a summary of [document title]"
3. To extract specific information:
   • Use the command: "What is [specific information] in [document title]"

Note: Content extraction is limited to 300 characters. For longer documents, consider requesting a summary instead.

How to enable Zoom Virtual Agent Microsoft OneDrive integration

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
3. In the Marketplace section, search for Microsoft OneDrive then click Connect.
   A new tab will open to begin the authentication process.
   • If you are already logged into OneDrive, your credentials will not be requested.
   • If you are not logged in, enter your OneDrive credentials and submit them.
4. When OneDrive requests access to your account, click Accept, then Confirm to complete the connection.
5. Once authentication is successful, the integration will appear on your Integrations page.
6. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
   You will see the OneDrive application with a Connected status.

How to reconnect the Microsoft OneDrive integration

1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
2. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
3. In the upper right corner, click the four horizontal lines.
4. In the Status column of the disconnected integration, click Re-connect.
   You will be taken to the page where you can edit the integration details.
5. (Optional) Edit the integration details.
6. Click Save.
   A new tab will open to begin the authentication process.
   • If you are already logged into OneDrive, your credentials will not be requested.
   • If you are not logged in, enter your OneDrive credentials and submit them.
7. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Integrations.
   You will see the application with a Connected status.

How to use Microsoft OneDrive integration with ZVA voice or chat agents

1. In the navigation menu, click AI Studio then Tool Templates.
2. Click the Marketplace tab.
3. Expand Microsoft OneDrive for Zoom to view the list of supported tools:
   • Create File
   • Update File Properties
   • Search File
   • Delete File
4. Create a voice or chat agent and use the desired OneDrive tools accordingly.

How your data is used

Zoom's OneDrive marketplace app allows Zoom Communications Inc. access to your OneDrive folders, pages and content. To do so, you'll need to share OneDrive permissions. The permissions you'll share with Zoom Communications Inc. include:

• Access OneDrive: Zoom Communications Inc. will have permission to access your OneDrive folders, pages and content.

By authorizing this connection, the OneDrive app maintains ongoing access to your information.
