How to interpret invitation error messages

When visitors attempt to access invalid invitation links, they will see one of the following error messages explaining why the invitation is no longer valid:

Expired invitation message

If a visitor attempts to access an invitation link more than 2 hours after the scheduled visit time, they will see this message:

"This invitation has expired as the invitation time was more than 2 hours ago. Please contact your host."

Canceled invitation message

If a visitor attempts to access an invitation link that has been canceled by the host, they will see this message:

"This invitation has been cancelled. The registration link is no longer valid."

Updated invitation message

If a visitor attempts to access an invitation link that has been updated, they will see this message:

"This invitation has been updated. A new invitation link has been emailed to you."

Deleted invitation message

If a visitor attempts to access an invitation link that has been deleted, they will see this message:

"This invitation has been cancelled. The registration link is no longer valid."

How to resolve invitation access issues

If visitors encounter any of these error messages, they should:

  1. Check their email for an updated invitation link if they've received the updated invitation message.
  2. Contact their host if they receive an expired invitation message.
  3. Ask their host to send a new invitation if they receive a canceled or deleted invitation message.

Note: Hosts can create new invitations from the Zoom Visitor Management dashboard at any time.
