Recording with Zoom AI in Zoom Rooms

Users can use Zoom AI to capture in-person conversations. To do this, they can start recordings directly from the Zoom Room home screen, even during scheduled calendar events in the meeting client. When starting a new ad-hoc meeting, users can claim ownership of the meeting through QR code scanning or email verification when Zoom AI features have been enabled. Once claimed, the user will receive all the meeting assets from the meeting card or email, such as recordings, meeting summaries, and whiteboards.

How to enable recording with Zoom AI for Zoom Rooms

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center.
  3. In the side menu, click Product configuration .
  4. Click Rooms, then click Zoom Rooms.
  5. You can use location hierarchy to configure this setting for a specific room or location. Click Account Settings to configure it for the entire account. 
  6. Click the AI tab, then click the Record with AI toggle to enable or disable the setting.
  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  8. (Optional) To make this setting mandatory for all rooms, click the lock icon .

How to record with Zoom AI in a Zoom Room meeting

  1. On the Zoom Room controller or touch display, tap the Record button.
  2. Scan the QR code displayed or click the connect to room icon  on the Zoom Workplace app to start the recording with Zoom AI and save the meeting assets.
  3. Once the devices are paired, click Start Recording on the Zoom Workplace app.
    When the meeting ends, the paired user can claim the meeting assets.

Recording with Zoom AI in Zoom Rooms is being upgraded to My Notes. Update to version 7.2.0 or later to try the new experience. Older versions can still use recording with Zoom AI.
