Using the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app
The Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app helps businesses collaborate within Zoom Workplace by allowing users to easily and quickly access their OneDrive storage. This app allows users to access files and documents from OneDrive without having to switch back and forth between applications.
Requirements for using the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app
- Zoom desktop app
- Windows: version 6.4.5 or higher
- macOS: version 6.4.5 or higher
- Linux: version 6.4.5 or higher
- A Microsoft OneDrive Business Online account
How to install the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- In the top right of your screen, enter Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations in the search box to find the app.
If the app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin to approve this app for your account. - Click Add.
- Verify the permissions and click Authorize.
Note: Authorizing the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app allows AI Companion to access your Microsoft OneDrive files, folders, and organizational directory data.
How to disconnect the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an account admin or owner.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click Added apps, then Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations.
- Click Connections.
- Click the ellipsis icon
, then Disconnect.
Note: Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app configuration data is deleted automatically when you remove the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app from the Zoom App Marketplace.
How to use the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app
With the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app in Zoom Workplace, you can create a knowledge base using content from your OneDrive account. This allows AI Companion to generate responses based on the selected files.
After installing the app:
- You can create a knowledge base using OneDrive as the integration source.
- AI Companion will reference the synced content to provide responses based on your organization's OneDrive files.

How your data is used
Zoom's Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations marketplace app allows Zoom Communications Inc. access to your Microsoft OneDrive files, folders, and organizational directory data. To do so, you'll need to share Microsoft OneDrive permissions. The permissions you'll share with Zoom Communications Inc. include:
- Access OneDrive content: Zoom Communications Inc. will have permission to view, create, edit, and delete your OneDrive files and folders, as well as access your organizational sites and user directory information.
By authorizing this connection, the Microsoft OneDrive for Organizations app maintains ongoing access to your information.
