Enabling or disabling creating files in Hub with AI Companion

Account owners and admins can enable or disable users in your account from creating docs, whiteboards, and clips in Hub with AI Companion. This feature uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, and allows users to make AI-powered generation of select Zoom assets.

How to enable or disable creating files in Hub with AI Companion

Account

To enable or disable creating files in Hub with AI Companion for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.

  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Account Settings.

  3. Click the AI Companion tab.

  4. Under Hub, click the Allow users to ask AI Companion to create files in Hub toggle to enable or disable it.
    Toggles for docs, whiteboards, and clips generation in Hub will appear.

  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. Follow the steps based on which Zoom products you want to be able to generate in Hub:

    1. Click the Docs content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting docs to be enabled.

    2. Click the Whiteboards content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting whiteboard to be enabled.

    3. Click the Clips content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires clips to be enabled.

  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.

  8. Click Save.

  9. (Optional) If you want to make these settings mandatory for all users in your account, click the lock icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable creating files in Hub with AI Companion for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.

  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.

  3. Click the desired user group or create a new group.

  4. Click the AI Companion tab.

  5. Under Hub, click the Allow users to ask AI Companion to create files in Hub toggle to enable or disable it.
    Toggles for docs, whiteboards, and clips generation in Hub will appear.

  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. Follow the steps based on which Zoom products you want to be able to generate in Hub:

    1. Click the Docs content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting docs to be enabled.

    2. Click the Whiteboards content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting whiteboard to be enabled.

    3. Click the Clips content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires clips to be enabled.

  8. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.

  9. Click Save.
  10. (Optional) If you want to make these settings mandatory for all users in the selected group, click the lock  icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

To enable or disable creating files in Hub with AI Companion for your own use:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.

  3. Click the AI Companion tab.

  4. Under Hub, click the Allow users to ask AI Companion to create files in Hub toggle to enable or disable it.
    Toggles for docs, whiteboards, and clips generation in Hub will appear.

  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
  6. Follow the steps based on which Zoom products you want to be able to generate in Hub:

    1. Click the Docs content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting docs and docs content generation with AI Companion to both be enabled.

    2. Click the Whiteboards content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires out-of-meeting whiteboard and whiteboard content generation with AI Companion to both be enabled.

    3. Click the Clips content generation and revision with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
      Note: This option requires clips and Zoom Clips avatars with AI Companion to both be enabled.

  7. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.

  8. Click Save.
