Using KakaoPay as a Zoom payment method
Zoom accepts KakaoPay as a payment method for customers who meet the eligibility criteria.
Requirements for paying with KakaoPay
- One of the following:
- Customer making an active (net-new) purchase through one of the following scenarios:
- Existing free Zoom account upgrading to a paid Zoom account
- Existing free Zoom account resubscribing to a paid Zoom account (has an old, existing payment method on file)
- New Zoom customer purchasing an account
- Customer with existing KakaoPay payment method purchasing an account upgrade
- Transacting in KRW currency
- Billing address in South Korea
Note: Online purchase of Cloud Recording, Zoom Phone, Audio Conferencing, and Conference Room Connector is not currently supported with this payment method.
How to use KakaoPay as your Zoom payment method
- Start your purchase from the Zoom Plans and Pricing page and follow the instructions on screen.
- Once you reach the payment step, in the Payment Method section, click KakaoPay.
- If you're on a desktop or laptop:
- A KakaoPay QR code will appear on the screen.
- Open the KakaoTalk app on your mobile device.
- Tap KakaoPay, then Scan QR Code.
- Scan the QR code shown on the Zoom checkout page.
- Confirm the payment in the KakaoTalk app.
- If you're on a mobile device:
- You’ll be automatically redirected to the KakaoPay app or KakaoTalk for payment.
- Log in and confirm the payment details.
- Approve the payment using your registered authentication method (e.g., fingerprint, passcode).
- After successful authorization, you’ll be redirected back to Zoom. Click on Place Order.
Your account will be set up almost immediately and you will receive an email confirming your subscription details. Once you receive confirmation, you can review your subscription and print your invoice after placing your order.
How to pay for invoices and account upgrades with KakaoPay
To pay your invoices, make sure KakaoPay is your payment method as stated in the How to use KakaoPay as your Zoom payment method section, then your payment method will automatically be used without any further action needed.
If you used KakaoPay as your payment method when purchasing a Zoom account, you can also purchase upgrades to your account using KakaoPay.
How to change your Zoom payment method to KakaoPay
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Billing Management.
- In the Payment Method section, next to your current payment method, click the ellipses icon
. - Click Edit payment method.
- Click Change Payment.
- Select KakaoPay and follow the same steps as stated in the How to use KakaoPay as your Zoom payment method section.
