Setting up operating hours and booking restrictions in Workspace Reservation
Account owners and admins can configure operating hours and booking restrictions for buildings, floors, or specific spaces in Workspace Reservation. This helps manage when workspaces are available for booking and allows you to restrict access during office closures, special events, or maintenance periods.
Requirements for setting operating hours and booking restrictions
- Pro, Business, Enterprise and Education
- Account owner or admin privileges
- Workspace Reservation enabled on your account
- Buildings, floors, or spaces already set up in your Workspace Reservation
How to set operating hours for the account
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin or owner.
- In the navigation menu, click Workspace Management, then Workspaces.
- Under Business hours and holidays, click Manage business hours schedule options.
Note: Setting up business hours for Workspace Reservation will also apply to Zoom Rooms, individual rooms, or desks. - Click the Add button.
- Enter the Schedule name.
- Select the working day and modify the business hours.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) You can also modify the predefined Default business hours.
How to restrict reservations to business hours
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin or owner.
- In the navigation menu, click Workspace Management, then Workspaces.
- Under the Business hours schedule, then Default business hours, select the checkbox for the Restrict workspace reservation to business hours option.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) You may edit the Default business hours by clicking the pencil
icon. - (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock
icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
How to manage the holiday schedule option for the account
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin or owner.
- In the navigation menu, click Workspace Management, then Workspaces.
- Under Business hours and holidays, then Manage business hours schedule options for the account, click Manage holiday schedule options.
- Click Add.
- Enter the Schedule name.
- Enter the Holiday name.
- Select the Start date and End date.
- Select the Start Time and End Time.
- Click Save.
- (Optional) Click the Add holiday button to add more holidays.
How to restrict reservations on holidays
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin or owner.
- In the navigation menu, click Workspace Management, then Workspaces.
- Under the Holiday schedule, click the pencil
icon to select the predefined holiday schedule that was set. - (Optional) You may edit or create a new holiday schedule by managing the holiday schedule option.
- Select the checkbox for the Restrict workspace reservation on holidays option.
- (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock
icon, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
