Setting up ZoomMate in Slack

The ZoomMate integration with Slack allows users to access AI-powered meeting insights directly within their Slack workspace. It enables users to summarize meetings, ask follow-up questions, search the web, and get help with Zoom products. When enabled, users can interact with ZoomMate in direct messages, threads, or channels. The assistant provides context-aware responses based on meeting history and prior interactions.

How to set up ZoomMate in Slack

Install ZoomMate for Slack

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Search for ZoomMate for Slack.
  3. Click Add to Slack to install the app.
  4. Authenticate with your Zoom account.
  5. Grant necessary permissions for Slack workspace integration.

Enable ZoomMate for Slack

If your Slack workspace has Slack AI enabled, you can add ZoomMate to the side panel for quick access.

  1. In Slack, go to Workspace settings.
  2. Select Preferences then Navigation.
  3. Click App Agents & Assistants.
  4. Check the box next to Zoom AI to enable it in the side panel.

How to disconnect your Zoom account from a Slack workspace

Follow these steps to remove the connection between your Zoom account and a Slack workspace:
  1. Visit the Zoom AI app home page.
  2. Click on View Connected Accounts.
  3. Find the workspace you want to disconnect from and click the Disconnect button next to it.
    Once completed, your Zoom account will no longer be linked to that Slack workspace.

How to remove the ZoomMate for Slack app

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. In the top right of the page, click Manage.
  3. In the left navigation menu, click Added Apps.
  4. Next to the ZoomMate for Slack app, click Remove.
    Note: Removing the app will delete all existing Slack connections associated with your Zoom account.
