Using Zoom AI in Slack
Zoom AI can be used directly within Slack to help users stay updated on meetings, find information quickly, and get support for Zoom products. Users can interact with it in direct messages, threads, or channels to perform a range of tasks without leaving Slack. Key features include:

Users can request a summary of recent Zoom meetings. The summary includes key discussion points, decisions made, and action items. - Ask follow-up questions
Users can ask questions like “Was my name mentioned?” or “What did the team decide?”. Zoom AI will provide answers based on the meeting transcript. - Search the web
Users can type general or work-related questions, and Zoom AI will return real-time results with sources. - Get help with Zoom

How to use Zoom AI in Slack
- Open the Slack desktop or mobile app.
- Sign in to your Workspace.
- At the top right of the screen, click the Zoom AI icon to open the Zoom AI panel.
- Type your question or request, such as Summarize my last meeting - meeting name, or How do I record a Zoom meeting?.
Zoom AI will respond with a relevant summary, answer, or support information based on your request. - Review the response.
- (Optional) Ask follow-up questions in the same thread, and Zoom AI will maintain context when responding.

How your data is used
Zoom's Slack marketplace app allows Zoom Communications Inc. access to your Slack Account and content. To do so, you'll need to share Slack permissions. The permissions you'll share with Zoom Communications Inc. include:
- Access Slack content: Zoom Communications Inc. will have permission to access your Slack messages, profile and workspace info.
By authorizing this connection, the Slack app maintains ongoing access to your information.
