Zoom Video Management lets users create and manage channels, videos, and playlists, track video analytics, manage collaborators, manage channel visibility permissions, and more.

Requirements for navigating Content Management landing page

• Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Legacy Education account

• Zoom Video Management add-on
  Note: Zoom Video Management may not be available for select verticals and other select customers.

• Zoom Video Management enabled

• Zoom desktop app

  • Windows: 6.5.10 or higher

  • macOS: 6.5.10 or higher

  • Linux: 6.5.10 or higher

Limitations for navigating Content Management landing page

Content management has the following limitations:

• To record or upload a video clip, Zoom Clips must be enabled.

Navigation menu

To access the content management page:

1. Access Zoom Video Management.

2. In the left sidebar, click Content management.

The Content Management page has a left sidebar that lets you explore the different video sections:

• Content Management (title bar): Switches to the home Zoom Video Management page.

• Overview: Lets you access content management shortcuts and shows channel/video analytics.

• Channels: Lets you create a new channel and manage existing channels

• Playlists: Lets you create a new playlist and manage existing playlists

• Videos: Lets you record a video clip, upload a video, and manage existing videos

• My channels: Lists channels you own

Overview

This section displays recent channel/video activities and analytics across all channels you created. It also features the following shortcuts for adding content:

• Create a channel

• Record a video clip

• Upload a video

Channels

This section allows you to create channels and features a comprehensive high-level view of all channels that have you as a creator or a collaborator. Use the search field and filters to quickly locate specific channels, then view them in a sortable, filterable list.

Add a channel

The Playlist page features a shortcut to create video channels. In the top-right corner, click Create a channel.

Search

The Playlist section features a search field with the following filters for quickly finding specific channels:

• My channel check box: Filters by channels you created
  Note: Checking this box also sets the Created by filter to only you.

• Created by: Filters by selected creator username
  Note: Selecting one or more creators other than you also unchecks the My channel filter.

• Creation date: Filters by selected date range

Channel table

The Channel section features a table that lists all channels with comprehensive information that can be used for sorting or filtering
Note: Channels can be displayed in a gallery view with preview cards or a list view with detailed information. To switch from one view to the other, in the top-right corner, click either the gallery icon or the list icon .

• Check box: Lets you delete or duplicate multiple channels by selecting one or more channel check boxes, then clicking Delete or Duplicate

• Channels: Shows the channel name and features sorting by name
  Note: Clicking on a channel name takes you to that channel's detail page for creators.

• Videos & playlists: Shows the number of videos and playlists in the channel

• Status: Shows the channel's status (Published or Unpublished) and features filtering by status

• Modified date: Shows when the channel was last modified and features sorting by modified date

• Creation date: Shows when the channel was created and features sorting by creation date

• Created by: Shows the channel creator and features filtering by creator

• Settings icon : Filters to display only the selected information in the list

• More icon : Includes quick actions

Channel detail page

• More icon : Provides additional options to change the channel's basic info, copy the channel URL, or delete the channel
  Note: The channel must be published to have an available URL.

• Manage permissions: Lets you manage channel collaborators and channel visibility

• Publish / Unpublish: Lets you publish or unpublish a channel

• Video preview card more icon : Provides additional options to edit the video, download it, hide it from public view, make it visible to public view, and remove it from the channel

• Add videos: Lets you add videos to the channel from your library or by creating a video

• Add playlists: Lets you add playlists to the channel

• In: Filters by selected channels

• Check box: Lets you delete multiple playlists by selecting one or more playlists check boxes, then clicking Delete

• Playlists: Shows the playlist name and features sorting by name
  Note: Clicking on a playlist name takes you to that playlist's detail page for creators.

• Videos: Shows the total number of videos in the playlist

• Channel presence: Shows which channel the playlist is added to and features filtering by channel
  Note: To show the other channels for playlists that are in two or more channels, click the number next to the first channel's name.

• Modified date: Shows when the playlist was last modified and features sorting by modified date

• Creation date: Shows when the playlist was created and features sorting by creation date

• Created by: Shows the playlist creator's username and features filtering by creator

• Settings icon : Filters to display only the selected information in the list

• More icon : Includes quick actions

Playlist detail page

• More icon : Includes quick actions

  • Edit: Lets you change basic playlist info

  • Add to channel: Lets you add the playlist to one or more channels with a searchable, filterable, and sortable channel list

  • Share: Lets you share the playlist to selected contacts

  • Copy link: Copies the playlist's unique URL

  • Delete: Moves the playlist to Trash.

• Add video: Lets you add a video to the playlist

Videos

Add a video

• Record a video clip: Launches a Zoom Clips window for recording a video clip

• Upload a video: Launches an Upload video window to upload a video
  Notes:

  • Videos can be in MOV, MP4, AVI, WMC, or h.264 format.

  • The maximum file size is 5 GB.

  • Uploaded clips will be converted to MP4 format.

Search

• Video types: Filters by selected video types

  • Meeting recording

  • Webinar recording

  • Event recording

  • Uploaded video

  • Video clip

• From channel: Filters by selected channels

• Creation date: Filters by selected date range

Video table

• Check box: Lets you delete multiple videos by selecting one or more playlists check boxes, then clicking Delete

• Recordings & videos: Shows the video name and type, and features sorting by name
  Note: Clicking on a video name launches the video player.

• Channel presence: Shows which channel the playlist is added to and features filtering by channel
  Note: To show the other channels for playlists that are in two or more channels, click the number next to the first channel's name.

• Co-editors: Shows the video owner's and collaborators' usernames and features filtering by co-editor

• Attachments: Shows the attached video assets and features filtering by attachments
  Note: To show the other assets for videos that have more than one attached asset, click the number next to the first asset's name.

• Modified date: Shows when the video was last modified and features sorting by modified date

• Added on: Shows when the video was added and features sorting by added-on date

• Owned by: Shows the video owner's username and features filtering by owner

• Settings icon : Filters to display only the selected information in the list

• More icon : Includes quick actions

  • Open in new window: Launches the video player in a new window

  • Add to Channel / Add to Playlist: Launches a window that lets you add the video to multiple channels/playlists and features a searchable, filterable, and sortable table

  • Share: Lets you share the video to selected contacts

  • Download: Downloads the video

  • Open in browser: Launches the video player in a new browser

  • Hidden from public / Make visible: Either hides the video from public view or make it visible

  • Delete: Moves the playlist to Trash.

  • Edit: Lets you change basic video info

Video edit page

Edit basic info

1. Enter the text in the Title field or Description field.

2. Click Save.

Attach a file

1. Under Attachment, click Add attachments.

2. Fill out the field for attaching files.

3. Click Save.

Change thumbnail

• Change based on thumbnail suggestions

  1. Under Thumbnail, choose from the suggested thumbnails.

  2. Click Save.

• Change from thumbnail dialog

  1. Under Thumbnail, hover over the video thumbnail until Change thumbnail appears, then click the dialog.

  2. Choose your custom thumbnail.

  3. Click Save.

• Change background image only

  1. Under Thumbnail, hover over the video thumbnail until Change thumbnail appears, then click the dialog.
     This will launch the Change thumbnail window.

  2. Click Replace background.
     This will launch the Replace background window.

  3. Select either Screenshot from video or Upload, depending on how you want to set the background image.

     • Screenshot from video: Use the progress bar and zoom slider to customize the screenshot image, then click Done.

     • Upload: Use the zoom slider to customize the uploaded image, then click Done.

  4. Click Save.
