What changes are coming to browser support for the Zoom Web App?

Starting in January 2026, browsers more than 3 years old will have limited functionality when joining meetings in the Zoom Web App. Additionally, in December 2025, Zoom Web App will end support for Windows 32-bit and 32-bit browsers.

Note: These changes only affect the Zoom Web App and do not impact the Zoom SDK.

To ensure continued full functionality with the Zoom Web App, it is recommended to upgrade to the following versions:

BrowserMinimum version
Chrome102 or higher
Edge102 or higher
Firefox105 or higher
Safari16.4 or higher*

*Note: For Apple devices, the Safari version is tied to the operating system version. You may need to update your operating system to get a newer version of Safari.

End of support for 32-bit browsers and Windows 32-bit

When will Zoom Web App end support for Windows 32-bit and 32-bit browsers?

Zoom plans to release the final version of the Zoom Web App that supports Windows 32-bit and 32-bit browsers in November 2025. After December 15, 2025, the Zoom Web App will no longer support devices running on Windows 32-bit and 32-bit browsers.

What should I do if I'm using Windows 32-bit or 32-bit browsers?

Zoom recommends checking if your computer is running Windows 32-bit or if you're using a 32-bit browser. If your system is a 32-bit operating system, then upgrade from Windows 32-bit to Windows 64-bit.

As this upgrade will likely take more time than a simple application upgrade, Zoom recommends prioritizing these Windows OS upgrades. Consult your Windows computer vendor or your organization's IT department for 64-bit upgrade options.

How do I know if I'm using a 32-bit version of Windows or a 32-bit browser?

You can check your Windows version by:

  1. On your computer, click Start, then select Settings.
  2. Click System.
  3. Locate and click About.
  4. Under Device specifications, locate System Type.
  5. If System Type is listed as a 64-bit operating system, then there is no need to take action.

You can check your browser version by:

  1. Open your browser settings.
  2. Locate and click About.
  3. If you see 64, then there is no need to take action.

Will these changes affect the Zoom desktop client or mobile apps?

Yes, in addition to the impacts on the Zoom Web App, which is the browser-based version of Zoom, the Zoom Workplace desktop client will also be ending support for 32-bit operating systems in December 2025. However, these changes do not affect the Zoom Workplace mobile app.
