Sharing and requesting access to a private task

With Zoom Tasks, users can share and request access to private tasks. When a request is made, an email notification will be sent to the task assignee and/or creator for approval. Once a request has been made, approval or denial can be done from the email notification or directly within the Zoom Workplace app or Zoom Web portal.

How to share a private task

Windows | macOS | Linux
  1. Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
  2. Click the Tasks tab .
    Note: If you do not see the Tasks tab, click the More tab, then click Tasks
  3. Click My TasksAll TasksStarred Tasks, or a Personal List.
  4. Click on the desired task.
  5. In the top right corner, click the Copy Link button .
    The link for the task will be copied to your clipboard. 
Web
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Tasks.
  3. Click My TasksAll TasksStarred Tasks, or a Personal List.
  4. Click on the desired task.
  5. In the top right corner, click the Copy Link button .
    The link for the task will be copied to your clipboard. 

How to request access to a private task

  1. Launch the shared URL.
    Note: If you are not signed in, you will be prompted to log in to your Zoom account. 
  2. Click Request access.
    An email notification will be sent to the user. 

How to approve access to a private task

Once a request has been made to the task, you will receive an email notification. Within the email, you can Approve or Deny the request. In addition to approving or denying requests via email, you can also approve or deny them directly from within the Zoom Workplace app.
