Enabling or disabling Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags
Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags feature lets users enroll their voice recording that is securely processed and stored for recognition purposes, enabling the system to identify them as speakers during mic-enabled audio interactions.
When the Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags setting is enabled by the account admin for a group of users or all users within the account, users can enroll with a voice recording and enable voice recognition services to identify speakers on the Workplace app. Learn how to use the Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags.
Requirements for enabling or disabling Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags
- A Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace for Education, or Zoom Workplace Enterprise account
- Account owner or admin privileges to enable or disable at the account or group level
- Voice recorder with AI Companion must be enabled
How to enable or disable Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags
Account
To enable or disable Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags for all users in the account:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Account Settings.
- Click the General tab.
- Under Smart recognition, click the Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags toggle to enable or disable it.
- In the Enable "Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags" dialog box, click Got it.
Note: This informational notice will only appear upon enabling the feature for the first time. - If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting. - (Optional) Select the Allow Zoom to send an enrollment email to users in your account checkbox.
Group
To enable or disable Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags for a group of users:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
- In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
- Click the applicable group name from the list.
- Click the General tab.
- Under Smart recognition, click the Zoom Workplace app automatic smart name tags toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.(Optional) To prevent users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon
