Enrolling profile to automatic smart name tags

The automatic smart name tags feature lets users enroll their voice recording that is securely processed and stored for recognition purposes to identify them as speakers during mic-enabled audio interactions.

Note: Users are recommended to enroll their voice recording through Voice recognition under Smart recognition settings on their Workplace app or web portal in order to use smart voice quality enhancement and voice recognition features in Zoom services.

How to enroll in automatic smart name tags for Zoom Rooms

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Profile.
  3. Under Automatic smart name tags then Zoom Rooms, click Enroll.
    Note: Your default profile picture will be used for enrollment. Please ensure your face is visible and the image is well-lit.
  4. Click Complete enrollment.

  5. (Optional) In the Video enrollment completed pop up, click Continue to voice enrollment.
  6. In the Create a voice recording dialog box, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the enrollment process.
    1. Select the preferred Microphone from the drop down list.
    2. Click Start recording then read the provided text out loud. Speak clearly and make sure there is no background noise.
    3. Click Stop recording then Complete enrollment.
  7. In the Voice recorded dialog box, click Close.

  8. (Optional) Select the Notify me when a smart name tag for voice is attributed to my account checkbox.
    Note: This only applies to changes made in the cloud recording transcript.

  4. In the Create a voice recording dialog box, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the enrollment process.
