Using the Engagement tab in VOD analytics
The Engagement tab in VOD analytics provides hosts with a clear view of how individual videos and the overall channel are performing. This tab centralizes key engagement metrics, allowing hosts to quickly see how viewers interact with videos and channel resources.

Requirements for managing the Engagement tab in VOD analytics
Note: To access the latest Zoom Webinars Plus and Events features, the complete VOD CMS experience, and the ability to create multiple video channels, hosts must update to the most recent version of the Zoom desktop or mobile app and ensure their account has the Advanced video CMS license.
How to access the VOD Analytics Engagement tab
- Create a video channel or edit a video channel.
You will be directed to the video channel setup. - In the channel setup's left navigation menu, click Analytics.
- At the top of the page, under Channel Analytics, click the Engagement tab.
How to view VOD Analytics Engagement tab
Metric tiles
At the top of the Engagement tab, view metric tiles that summarize viewer interactions across all videos in the channel. These metrics help hosts understand how viewers engage with content and channel resources.
- Video engagement: Percentage of all videos in the channel that received at least one type of viewer interaction (comment, poll response, like, or question).
- Viewers leaving comments: Percentage of unique viewers who made at least one comment on a video in the channel.
- Viewers answering polls: Percentage of unique viewers who answered at least one poll question in the channel.
- Viewers using reactions: Percentage of viewers who reacted to at least one video in the channel.
- Viewers using Q&A: Percentage of viewers who asked at least one question in the channel.
- Total resource downloads: Total number of resources downloaded, including multiple downloads of the same resource by the same viewer.
Tables, graphs, and charts
Below the metric tiles, view the following information:
Top 10 videos
The Top 10 videos chart displays the ten most engaging videos in the channel based on the selected metric. By default, the chart shows the videos with the highest number of comments. Perform the following actions:
- Tooltip: In the top-left corner, click the information icon
to view a description of the chart. - Time period: In the top-right corner, use the dropdown
to change the chart’s display interval. The following options are available:
- Last 7 days
- Last 4 weeks
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Metric selection: In the top-right corner, use the dropdown
to select which engagement metric to display. The chart updates to rank the top 10 videos by the selected metric:
- Comments: Total number of viewer comments per video.
- Poll & quiz responses: Total number of poll or quiz responses submitted for the video.
- Q&A questions asked: Total number of questions asked in the video’s Q&A. Responses are not counted.
- Resource downloads: Total number of times resources associated with the video were downloaded, including multiple downloads of the same resource by the same viewer.
- Reactions: Total number of reactions for the video, regardless of type.
- Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report. The downloaded file includes the top 10 videos in order based on the selected metric and contains all metric columns.
Channel resource downloads
This bar chart shows how many times each channel resource has been downloaded. Each bar represents a resource, and the height indicates the total number of downloads. Perform the following actions:
- Tooltip: In the top-left corner, click the information icon
to view a description of the chart. - Time period: In the top-right corner, use the dropdown
to change the chart’s display interval. The following options are available:
- Last 7 days
- Last 4 weeks
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon to export a CSV report. The downloaded file includes all resources listed in the chart along with their download counts.
Video engagement
This chart shows the different types of engagement for videos, with one engagement type represented per bar. By default, the chart displays the 10 most recently uploaded videos (alphabetical order used as a tiebreaker) and is filtered to show activity from the last 30 days. The chart loads 50 videos at a time, which can be scrolled and selected. Here are the engagement types:
- Comments: Total number of comments on each video.
- Polls & Quizzes: Total number of poll and quiz responses for each video.
- Resource downloads: Total number of resource downloads, including repeated downloads of the same resource by the same viewer.
- Q&A questions asked: Total number of questions asked in the video’s Q&A (responses are not counted).
- Reactions: Total number of reactions for each video, summed across all types.
Perform the following actions:

to view a description of the chart. - Time period: In the top-right corner, use the dropdown
to change the chart’s display interval. The following options are available:
- Last 7 days
- Last 4 weeks
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Filter videos shown: In the top-right corner, click the filter icon
to display only the specific videos that you want. - Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report. The downloaded file includes all videos currently loaded in the chart along with their engagement metrics.
Polls & Quizzes
The Polls & Quizzes table provides detailed information about viewer interactions with polls and quizzes across the channel. Use the table to review both summary data and individual responses. This table includes the following tabs:
- Overview: Displays a summary of poll and quiz engagement for the channel or individual videos.
- Responses: Lists individual responses submitted by viewers, allowing hosts to analyze participation in detail.
Perform the following actions:
- Apply filter options: In the top-right corner, click the filter icon
to refine the table contents and display only the specific polls, quizzes, or responses that match your selected criteria. - Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report containing all data displayed in the table. - Check responses: In the Responses tab, under the View response column, click View response for a specific row to see the answers submitted by that respondent. A red dot appears next to responses when there is a filtered result..
Q&A
The Q&A table provides detailed information about viewer questions submitted across the channel. Use the table to review both summary data and individual questions. This table includes the following tabs:
- Overview tab: Displays a summary of Q&A engagement for the channel or individual videos.
- Responses tab: Lists individual questions submitted by viewers, allowing hosts to analyze participation in detail.
Perform the following actions:
- Apply filter options: In the top-right corner, click the filter icon
to refine the table contents and display only the specific questions or responses that match your selected criteria. - Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report containing all data displayed in the table.
Channel survey responses
The Channel survey responses table lists individual survey submissions for the channel, providing hosts with detailed insights into viewer feedback.
Perform the following actions:
- View survey results: In the top-right corner, click View survey results to display an aggregate view of all responses.
- Apply filter options: In the top-right corner, click the filter icon
to refine the table contents and display only the specific surveys or responses that match your selected criteria. - Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report containing all data displayed in the table.
Resources
The Resources table lists all resources available in the channel or within individual videos, providing insight into how often each resource is downloaded. The following columns are included:
- Resource name: Name of the resource.
- Resource level: Indicates whether the resource is uploaded at the channel level or the video level.
- Number of downloads: Total number of times the resource has been downloaded, including repeated downloads by the same viewer.
Perform the following actions:

to refine the table contents and display only the specific resources or videos that match your selected criteria. - Download CSV: In the top-right corner, click the download icon
to export a CSV report containing all data displayed in the table.
Zoom Webinars Plus and Events VOD Channel analytics has been redesigned for greater clarity and smoother navigation. The new experience is active by default, but if you prefer, switch back to legacy analytics by clicking the
Switch to legacy analytics toggle at the top of
Channel analytics. You can switch back and forth as desired at any time.
