The following FAQs address common questions about enabling, managing, and maintaining Bring Your Own Storage for AWS (BYOS) for Zoom Contact Center.
Why isn’t the BYOS option available in Preferences?
The
BYOS feature must be enabled by Zoom. Contact your account manager.
Will Zoom delete recordings in Zoom after upload?
Yes. If you select Store only in your own storage, files are automatically deleted from Zoom after a successful upload to AWS S3.
What happens if uploads fail?
Zoom automatically retries failed uploads daily for up to 30 days. If uploads remain unsuccessful, the files stay in Zoom storage, and admins receive a failure notification.
Can I migrate my old recordings?
Not automatically. You can manually export historical recordings through the Zoom API or request assistance from Zoom Professional Services.
