Using Push to Talk AI summary in Zoom Phone

When enabled, users can generate summaries of push-to-talk phone calls. After the call, the summary is available in both the Zoom Workplace app and the web portal. Users can also request to get caught up and receive a summary from AI Companion based on the ongoing conversation, including the summary time period, quick recap, next steps, and full summary. This feature uses AI technology, which may include third-party models, and allows Zoom Phone users to initiate an AI-generated call summary. At the end of the call, the summary is automatically accessible through the user’s call history logs in the Zoom app or web portal and can be edited and emailed.

How to use Push to Talk AI summary in Zoom Phone

When AI Companion is enabled for a push-to-talk channel, you will be notified.

  1. Use push-to-talk on Zoom Phone.
  2. (Optional) In the top-left corner of the screen, tap the audio source icon and select the audio source that you want to use:
    • Bluetooth
    • Speaker
    • Mute
    • Headphones
  3. In the top-right corner of the screen, tap the AI Companion icon .
    The Catch me up with AI Companion screen will appear, presenting several options that you can choose to catch up in the conversation.
  4. Select and tap an option.
    AI Companion will generate a summary of the conversation, including the Summary time period, Quick recap, Next steps, and Full summary, based on the time option that you chose.
