Migrating phone numbers across Zoom Phone and BYOC services in Number Management
Account owners and admins can automate phone number migrations from native Zoom Phone to Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC) Premises, or BYOC Cloud Peering services. Admins can tag numbers for migration and specify the destination carrier type through the Number Management page.
When the offline port-out processes complete and the number is added to the Zoom account again through either BYOC-C or BYOC-P, the system automatically identifies numbers tagged for this “Migration” and executes the migration without manual intervention from porting or operations teams. The automation preserves all number assignments, call logs, SMS history, and user associations during the migration process.
