Enabling or disabling Meeting coach with AI Companion
When enabled, Meeting coach with AI Companion provides Zoom meeting hosts with metrics on participant engagement, alongside personal meeting performance metrics. Hosts can view certain participant metrics such as talk time % for each individual participant, while meeting participants can view metrics on their own participation and averages of each metric for total participants in a meeting, such as:
Meeting hosts can view the following metrics for all participants:
- Talk time %
- Live presence (camera on/mic on)
- Chats sent
- Reactions
Meeting hosts and participants can view the following metrics for their own participation and averages of each metric for total participants:
- Talk time %
- Live presence (camera on/mic on)
- Chats sent
- Reactions
- Talk-listen ratio
- Talk speed
- Patience
- Filler words
Meeting coach metrics will only be available for meetings that have AI Companion enabled.
Requirements for enabling or disabling meeting coach
- A Licensed user on a Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, Enterprise Bundle account, or Zoom Workplace for Education

How to enable or disable Meeting coach
Note: This setting replaces the Meeting coach checkbox under the AI Companion tab > Recording > Smart recording with AI Companion.
Account
To enable or disable Meeting coach for all users in the account:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- Under Meeting, click the Meeting Coach with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- After enabling this setting, select the Show participant metrics to the meeting host for setting from one of the following options:
- All participants and invitees
- Participants and invitees in our organization
- Click Save.
- (Optional) To prevent all users in the account from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Group
To enable or disable Meeting coach for a group of users:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account and group settings.
- In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
- Click the applicable group name from the list.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- Under Meeting, click the Meeting Coach with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- After enabling this setting, select the Show participant metrics to the meeting host for setting from one of the following options:
- All participants and invitees
- Participants and invitees in our organization
- Click Save.
- (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
User
To enable or disable Meeting coach for your own use:
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Settings.
- Click the AI Companion tab.
- Under Meeting, click the Meeting Coach with AI Companion toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- After enabling this setting, select the Show participant metrics to the meeting host for setting from one of the following options:
- All participants and invitees
- Participants and invitees in our organization
- Click Save.
