Using enhanced voice commands in Zoom Rooms

Voice commands enable users to perform basic functions in Zoom Rooms while minimizing contact with touch screens. Issuing voice commands with the native Zoom Rooms voice engine allows users to take advantage of this functionality without additional setup or equipment.

Requirements for enabling and using enhanced voice commands for Zoom Rooms

Note: 6.7.0 is the version required to use the most recently updated commands.

How to enable enhanced voice commands for Zoom Rooms

  1. Log in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. Click Room Management then click Zoom Rooms.
  3. You can use the Zoom Rooms location hierarchy to enable voice commands from the account, location, or room settings. For this example, click Account Settings.
  4. Click the Meeting tab, then toggle the voice commands setting and select Zoom.

  1. If you have enabled voice commands from the Zoom web portal, they will be on by default.
  2. Tap Voice Commands On at the bottom right of the Zoom Rooms controller to disable them for that workspace. 
  3. Tap the same option again to enable voice commands.
  4. You can also toggle this feature on or off while in a Zoom Rooms meeting.
    Note: Toggling the feature within a Zoom Rooms meeting only changes the settings for meetings.

How to use enhanced voice commands 

You can say...Zoom Rooms will...
“Hey Zoomie”

This is the wake word to get started. The Zoom Room will be ready to receive commands. You can also say this command followed by another. 

“Check in”
“Check out”
Check in and keep the room reserved, or free the room for others to use if checking out. 

“Start the scheduled meeting”
"Join my next call"
"Join next meeting"
"Start my next meeting"
“Join PMI Meeting”
"Join Meeting with password”

"Start a meeting.”
“Start an instant meeting."
“Start a meeting now.”

Start an instant meeting.

“Join meeting ID” (say the ID number)

Join the meeting ID you have selected. If the meeting requires a passcode you will be prompted to say it. The passcode must be said one character at a time.
“Leave meeting”
“End a meeting”
Leave or end the meeting.

"How do I use [feature]?"
"What is [feature]?"
"Can you show me how to enable [feature]?"
