Activating Liminal Apps through Zoom Webinars Plus and Events

Liminal production tools, ZoomOSC, ZoomISO, Tiles, Graphics Toolkit, are part of the Zoom Webinars Plus and Zoom Events ecosystem. This article shows how to properly activate them for users with Zoom Webinars Plus or Zoom Events licenses. Hub owners and Hub hosts can sign in to the apps to unlock full functionality. The Liminal Apps are included with eligible licenses, and no separate purchase is needed.

How to activate Liminal App production tools

Note: Account owner or admin privileges are required to purchase and assign licenses.

  1. Purchase and assign a Zoom Webinars Plus or Zoom Events license to a user in your organization, or assign it to yourself.
  2. Sign in to Zoom Events as the assigned user, then follow the on-screen steps to complete onboarding and create a default Zoom Events Hub.
  3. (Optional) If the account who needs access to the Liminal Apps is different from the user assigned the Zoom Webinars Plus or Zoom Events license, assign the Hub host role to that user on the Team tab of the Zoom Events Hub page.
    Note: A user with a Zoom Webinars Plus or Zoom Events license can create a hub to become the Hub owner, or they must be assigned to an existing hub as a Hub Owner or Hub host role in order to use Liminal Apps.
  4. Download and launch the Liminal App you want.
    1. Click a link below to open the selected liminal App’s download page
    2. Select Download Now.
      A page with a form you need to fill out will appear.
    3. Fill out the form, and click Submit.
    4. You will receive an email with a link to download and install the app.
  5. Sign in to the Liminal App using the email assigned as a Hub host or Hub owner.
    1. In the app, click the Sign in tab, then select Sign in with Zoom.
      A new browser window will appear asking you to confirm which account you want to sign in with.
    2. Sign in using the Zoom account assigned as a Hub host or Hub owner.
    3. Agree to the required app permissions. If you are unable to approve the app for use on this account, please contact your account admin for Zoom app marketplace approval.
      Once signed in, the app activates automatically and is ready to use. If sign-in fails, contact your account admin to confirm your license assignment and hub role.

Note: Liminal Apps can join any meeting or webinar that the signed-in account is permitted to join, including meetings or webinars scheduled outside the Events portal or on a different Zoom account.

Liminal Apps will transition to exclusive licensing via Zoom Webinars Plus and Events, allowing Hub owners and Hub hosts to unlock full functionality across multiple devices without separate purchases.
