Enabling or disabling Zoom Phone conference join/leave tone

Account owners and admins can disable conference join tones at the account level for Zoom Phone conferences. When users join conferences, tones will no longer play if this setting is disabled.

The feature is enabled by default, allowing admins to maintain the current experience or customize it based on their organization's preferences. This enhancement provides greater control over the audio experience during conference calls.

Note: This setting does not affect the conference-join options configured for shared line appearances.

How to enable or disable Zoom Phone conference join/leave tone

Account

To enable or disable Conference join/leave tone for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Zoom Phone tab.
  4. Under General, click the Conference join/leave tone toggle to enable or disable it.
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
