Enabling or disabling Enhanced Media features

The Zoom Enhanced Media add-on is a premium licensing option that unlocks advanced video and streaming capabilities in Zoom Meetings, Zoom Events, and Zoom Rooms. It includes features designed specifically for professional environments that demand broadcast-quality media performance and precision visual collaboration, like 60fps high frame rate video, higher bitrate streams, increased bandwidth for multiple simultaneous HD feeds, 1080p/60fps content sharing, and optimized video quality on 4K displays.

How to enable or disable Enhanced Media features

After purchasing Zoom Enhanced Media add-on licenses, you can enable or disable Enhanced Media features in the Zoom web portal. These settings are disabled by default.

Account

To enable or disable Enhanced Media features for all users in the account:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Account Management then Account Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under Media Settings, click the toggles next to the following settings to enable or disable them:
  5. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
  6. (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing a setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

Group

To enable or disable Enhanced Media features for a group of users:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
  2. In the navigation menu, click User Management then Groups.
  3. Click the applicable group name from the list.
  4. Click the Meeting tab.
  5. Under Media Settings, click the toggles next to the following settings to enable or disable them:
  6. If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and needs to be changed at that level.
  7. (Optional) To prevent all users in the group from changing a setting, click the lock icon , and then click Lock to confirm the setting.

User

You must have the Enhanced Media add-on license assigned to enable or disable Enhanced Media features for your own use. You can view your assigned licenses and permissions on your Profile page in the Zoom web portal. Learn more about identifying your Zoom licenses, add-ons, and permissions.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Settings.
  3. Click the Meeting tab.
  4. Under Media Settings, click the toggles next to the following settings to enable or disable them:

    Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level. You need to contact your Zoom admin.
