Embedding Figma files in Zoom Whiteboard
You can embed Figma designs directly into a Zoom Whiteboard to reference live designs without leaving the canvas. The embed stays interactive and updates as your design evolves.
Requirements for embedding Figma files
How to add a Figma embed
- Copy a link to a Figma file or to a specific selection such as a frame.
- Paste the link anywhere on the Zoom Whiteboard canvas.
Zoom Whiteboard automatically recognizes the link as a Figma design and converts it into an embedded view. No extra steps are required once the link is pasted.
How to sign in to Figma
If the Figma content requires authentication, you'll be prompted to sign in.
- Sign in to your Figma account when prompted.
You only need to sign in once to view private or restricted designs. Access follows your existing Figma permissions.
How to interact with the embedded design
The embedded Figma view supports lightweight interaction directly on the board. These controls are available on the embedded object itself:
- Pan within the design to explore different areas.
- Refresh to pull in the latest updates from Figma.
- Lock the embed to prevent accidental movement on the canvas.
How embeds behave for collaborators
Each embedded Figma view renders separately for every participant, allowing individual exploration without affecting others' views:
- Scrolling and panning are not synced between users.
- Each person can explore the design independently.
- Everyone can discuss the same design while maintaining individual focus.
