Using the Veradigm integration
The Zoom integration with Veradigm is an account-level integration that enables healthcare staff to have video visits with patients through Zoom Meetings. The app automatically syncs with Veradigm Practice Management video appointments and updates them with Zoom meeting links.
Requirements for using the Veradigm integration
- Business account or higher with Marketplace access enabled
- BAA for HIPAA-enabled compliance
- Account owner or admin with privileges to install and configure the integration
- Any healthcare professional conducting virtual appointments must be a Licensed Zoom user

How to add the Veradigm app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
- In the top-right corner, enter Veradigm in the search bar to find the app.
- In your search results, find the Veradigm app and click it.
- Click Add.
How to configure the Veradigm app
Configure account settings
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage, then click Apps on Account.
- Find the Veradigm app.
- Nex to Veradigm, click the ellipsis icon
. - Click Configure.
- In the Veradigm Practice Management section, enter the username and password (do not enter personal or admin credentials).
- In the Timezone & Types section:
- Select the time zone used by the hospital or practice.
- Choose the appointment types that should be used with the Veradigm integration app. Appointments outside the selected types will not be included.
- (Optional) In the Behavior section, choose if you want to sync appointments manually. By default, the Veradigm app automatically generates Zoom meetings and sends notifications for new or updated appointments every 15 minutes. If you want to sync appointments manually, click Sync appointments manually.
- (Optional) In the Pre-Appointment Notifications section, configure the appointment reminder email content to send email reminders to patients about upcoming appointments.
- (Optional) In the Zoom Native SMS section, configure the SMS appointment reminder content to send SMS reminders to patients about upcoming appointments. This feature requires the Audio Conferencing add-on, a global phone number assigned to SMS, and an approved 10DLC SMS campaign.
- (Optional) In the Real-Time Notifications section, choose if you want to send notifications to a custom webhook URL.
- Select the check box next to each type of notification you want to send.
- In the Custom notification endpoint URL field, enter the full URL of the custom notification endpoint.
- Click Submit.
Manage users
Add and manage providers
- When configuring the Veradigm app, under User Management, click Providers.
- To add an individual provider or a few providers at a time:
- Click Add Providers.
- Enter the provider's last name or ID.
- (Optional) Click Add Provider to add more providers as needed.
- Click Add.
- To bulk import up to 1000 providers at a time:
- Click Import.
- (Optional) Click Download CSV sample to download a sample of the CSV file with correct formatting.
- Drag-and-drop a CSV file or click Choose CSV File to search for a CSV file on your device.
- Click Upload.
Add and manage medical staff
- When configuring the Veradigm app, under User Management, click Medical Staff.
- To add an individual medical staff member or a few staff members at a time:
- Click Add Medical Staff.
- Enter the staff member's last name or email address.
- Click Add.
- To bulk import up to 1000 staff members at a time:
- Click Import.
- (Optional) Click Download CSV sample to download a sample of the CSV file with correct formatting.
- Drag-and-drop a CSV file or click Choose CSV File to search for a CSV file on your device.
- Click Upload.
How to sync appointments in Veradigm
- Automatic sync: The Veradigm app automatically generates Zoom meetings and sends notifications for new or updated appointments every 15 minutes.
- Manual sync:
- In the left panel of the Veradigm app configuration page, click Account Settings.
- Click Sync appointments manually.
How to use the Veradigm app
The Appointments page lists all information related to the appointments, including Today's appointments, Future appointments and Past Appointments. Each appointment category includes provider's name and ID, the patient's name, the appointment time and type, and the ability to start the meeting.
Admins can access the Appointments page from the Veradigm configuration page:
- In the Zoom App Marketplace, open the Veradigm app configuration page.
- In the left panel, click User Management and then click Medical Staff or Providers.
- Click View Appointment Page.
Note: You can also click the copy icon next to View Appointment Page to copy a link to the appointments page to share with medical staff. - (Optional) On the Appointments page, click Start or Join next to any appointment to start or join the meeting on Zoom.
- (Optional) To access additional options for an individual appointment, click the ellipsis icon

- Copy Invitation: Copy a link to the meeting.
- Resend Invite Link: Resend the invitation link.
- Add Rooms: Add a Zoom Room to this appointment. The appointment can be started from the local device or from the associated Zoom Room.
- Manage Rooms: Manage the Zoom Room for this appointment.
How to remove the Veradigm app
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
- In the top-right corner, click Manage.
- Click Added Apps.
- Next to Veradigm, click the ellipsis icon
. - Click Remove.
A confirmation window will appear. - Confirm by clicking Remove.
The Veradigm app will be successfully removed from your Zoom account.
How your data is used
This app accesses the following information from Veradigm:
- Veradigm provider and patient emails and SMS numbers: The integration app will send email or SMS reminders into Veradigm providers and patients.
- Veradigm provider and patient information (firstName,lastName): If an email is provided to Zoom for a video visit, the corresponding Zoom account first and last name will be displayed during the video visit meeting.
- Veradigm appointment ID: Used to identify the Veradigm appointment, which will be displayed on the integration app page.
- Veradigm appointment information (start time, duration): The appointment start time and duration will be created for the Zoom Meeting, which will have the same start time with appointment.
This app accesses the following information from Zoom:
- Meeting settings: The account-wide meeting settings and/or the default host’s meeting settings will be used when creating a video visit meeting.
- Meetings info: When a patient or provider joins a video visit, existing meetings are queried to determine if an existing meeting should be used or a new one should be created (to ensure all participants join the same meeting).
