Using the Audioscrape Connector
Zoom's Audioscrape Connector enables users to search and retrieve information from over 1 million hours of audio content directly in Zoom. Users can perform semantic searches across podcasts, interviews, talks, and other audio sources to find specific moments, topics, or speakers mentioned in recordings.

Requirements for using the Audioscrape Connector
- A Zoom Workplace Pro, Zoom Workplace Pro Plus, Zoom Workplace Business, Zoom Workplace Business Plus, Zoom Workplace Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Enterprise Plus, or Enterprise Bundle account
- Custom AI Companion License
- Account owner or admin privileges
- AI Companion panel in Zoom Workplace must be enabled
- An Audioscrape account
- Preapproval of the Audioscrape Connector app in Zoom App Marketplace

How to install and configure Audioscrape Connector
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
- In the top right of your screen, enter Audioscrape Connector in the search box to find the app
- In your search results, find the Audioscrape Connector app and click it. Note: If the app is not pre-approved, please contact your Zoom admin to approve the app for your account
- Click Add.
- Confirm the permissions the app requires, then click Allow. You will then be redirected to Audioscrape to authenticate your Audioscrape Account and authorize Zoom. Once completed, you will return to the configuration page.
How to configure Audioscrape Connector
After installing the app from the Zoom App Marketplace, you can start configuring the Audioscrape Connector within AI Studio.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click AI Studio, then click Tool Templates.
- Click the MCP tab.
- Click Sync to verify your applications are synced.
- Go to Custom Agents and create a new custom agent from scratch or select a template.
- Once your agent is created, navigate to Tools.
- Click Add Tools, and search for Audioscrape Connector.
- Click Next to authorize your account.
- After successful authorization, select some or all of the tools offered by the MCP server and click Save.
You're now ready to start chatting with your agent.
How to use the Audioscrape Connector
After setting up the Audioscrape Connector, users can interact with it directly through AI Companion using natural language commands to access Audioscrape's features.
- Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
- Click the Home tab or click the AI Companion icon from your active tab.
- In the Write a message or type field, enter a prompt to begin searching for information in Audioscape's library.
How to remove the Audioscrape Connector
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace with your Zoom account.
- In the top right of the page, click Manage.
- In the navigation menu, click Added Apps.
- Next to the Audioscrape Connector app, click Remove
- Confirm the dialogue and click Remove.
Data Security
- The Audioscrape Connector communicates securely with the Audioscrape MCP server using HTTPS for encrypted data transmission.
- Authentication is handled via OAuth 2.0 with PKCE.
- Rate limits are applied to protect the service from abuse.
This Audioscrape Connector stores access credentials in the local data store:
- Audioscrape API tokens and Zoom OAuth credentials (both user-level only) are stored in an encrypted database.
How your data is used
This Connector has access to the following information on Audioscrape:
- search_audio_content: Search across all indexed audio content including podcasts, interviews, and talks. Find discussions on any available topic with speaker identification and timestamps.
- list_recent_episodes: List recent podcast episodes with optional filtering
- get_episode_content: Get full content and metadata for a specific episode
- browse_podcast: Browse episodes from a specific podcast
- get_trending_topics: Get currently trending search topics and entities from recent podcast discussions
- search_entities: Search the knowledge graph for people, companies, topics, and other entities mentioned in podcasts
- get_related_content: Find episodes related to a given episode based on shared entity mentions (people, topics, companies discussed)
- get_chart_rankings: Get current podcast chart rankings (Apple Podcasts, Spotify) by country. Shows the top podcasts for a given market.
- search_podcasts: Search for podcasts by title. Returns podcast metadata including episode counts.
- search_persons: Search for podcast speakers/hosts by name. Returns matching persons with links. Use get_person_details with the slug to get full episode appearances.
- get_person_details: Get details about a person/speaker, including their podcast episode appearances. Use search_persons first to find the person_slug.
