Zoom strives to provide frictionless, secure video communications that empower people to accomplish more. As part of our commitments to quality and security, Zoom Rooms for Mac version 7.0.0 (March 2026) will not support Apple macOS 10.13 and 10.14, and these versions of macOS are no longer supported by Zoom Rooms for Mac.
Mac devices running Apple macOS 10.13, 10.14, or earlier cannot install Zoom Rooms for Mac version 7.0.0 or later. There are no exceptions possible. However, most devices that are capable of running macOS 10.14 can be upgraded to at least macOS 10.15. Zoom recommends upgrading to the latest possible version of macOS that supports your Mac hardware.
For example, the end of Zoom Rooms for Mac support for macOS 10.13 and 10.14 most strongly affects the following Mac models commonly used for Zoom Rooms, which cannot upgrade to at least macOS 10.13:
| Model | Introduction date | Hardware models | Apple support status | Last supported macOS release |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mac mini (Mid 2010) | 2010 |
MC438xx/A | Obsolete | 10.13 |
| Mac mini (Mid 2011) | 2011 |
MC815xx/A | Obsolete | 10.13 |
Apple considers all of these models obsolete and no longer provides service for these devices.
Customers may verify the current macOS version of devices in their Zoom Rooms in the Zoom admin portal by following these steps:
See Identify your Mac mini model on Apple’s support website and compare the hardware model to the list of hardware models in the table above.
The aforementioned Mac mini models will be unable to upgrade to macOS 10.13 or higher and will therefore be blocked from installing Zoom Rooms for Mac version 6.7.5 or higher. They may continue to use Zoom Rooms for Mac 6.7.5. Zoom Rooms for Mac version 6.7.5, the last version offering support for macOS 10.13 and 10.14, will eventually reach the end of support according to the Zoom Software Quarterly Lifecycle Policy.
