Advance notice of end of support for iOS 13.x and iPadOS 13.x
Zoom strives to provide frictionless and secure video communications empowering people to accomplish more. As part of our commitments to quality and security, planned Zoom Rooms and Zoom Rooms Controller version 7.0.0, forecast to be released in March 2026, will not support Apple iOS 13.x and iPadOS 13.x.
Apple devices running Apple iOS 13.x or iPadOS 13.x will be unable to upgrade to or install Zoom Rooms for iPadOS or Zooms Rooms Controller for iPadOS or iOS after the planned version 7.0.0. There are no exceptions possible; Apple App Store policies will prevent iPads or iPhones running iOS 13.x or less from upgrading to or installing Zoom Rooms or Zoom Rooms Controller after planned version 7.0.0.
For example, the end of support for Zoom Rooms or Zoom Rooms Controller for iOS 13.x primarily impacts the following iPad models, which are limited to iOS 12.x and cannot upgrade beyond that version:
| Model | Introduction Date | Hardware Models | Apple Support Status* | Last supported iOS release |
|---|
| iPad Air (1st gen) | October 2013 | A1474 A1475 | Obsolete | 12.5.7 |
| iPad Air (1st gen, CN) | April 2014 | A1476 | Vintage | 12.5.7 |
| iPad Mini 2 | October 2013 | A1489 A1490 | Vintage | 12.5.7 |
| iPad Mini 2 (CN) | April 2014 | A1491 | Vintage | 12.5.7 |
| iPad Mini 3 | October 2014 | A1599 A1600 A1601 | Obsolete | 12.5.7 |

Can I continue to use Zoom Rooms or Zoom Rooms Controller version 6.7.5 on my iPad/iPhone?
iPads or Phones using iOS 13.x may continue to use Zoom Rooms or Zoom Rooms Controller for version 6.7.5. However, should any disruption occur that causes you to uninstall the app, or factory reset your device (and therefore erase the app), you may not be able to access Zoom Rooms or Zoom Rooms Controller for iPad 6.7.5 from the Apple App Store to reinstall.
Zoom Rooms/Zoom Rooms Controller version 6.7.5, the planned final version offering support for iOS 13.x, will eventually reach the end of support according to the
Zoom Software Quarterly Lifecycle Policy.
What should I do?
Zoom recommends examining iPads/iPhones deployed as Zoom Rooms or Zoom Room Controllers or Zoom Rooms for Touch devices in your Zoom account to determine the device models in your deployment. Zoom then recommends the following course of action, based on device capabilities:
- Any devices that can be upgraded to iOS greater than 13.x should be upgraded to their latest supported iOS/iPadOS version so they may receive future updates.
- Prior to upgrading iOS/iPadOS, you may continue to use Zoom Rooms/Zoom Rooms Controller 6.7.5 as described above.
Recommended migration options
Deploy a supported device from the Zoom Rooms Recommended Hardware Controllers list. These controllers are compatible with any Zoom Rooms (Windows, Mac, or Appliance).
