Using the Zoom for Claude app

The Zoom for Claude app allows users to search their Zoom meetings using natural language, retrieve meeting assets such as AI summaries, docs, recordings, and whiteboards, and access recording-specific resources, including transcripts, summaries, next steps, and playback links. Users can ask questions to quickly locate the exact moment a topic was discussed in a meeting recording, generate agendas, capture notes, identify action items, and follow up using the transcript, summary, and shared materials.

How to add the Zoom for Claude app

  1. Sign in to Claude.
  2. In the left navigation, click Customize.
  3. Click Connectors.
  4. Click the add icon , then click Browse connectors.
  5. Search for and then click Zoom.
  6. Click Connect.
    You will be redirected to the Zoom for Claude page of theZoom Marketplace.
  7. In the top right of your screen, click Add.
  8. Confirm the required app permissions and click Allow.
  9. Once redirected back to the Claude site, complete the authorization of the app.

How to use the Zoom for Claude app

Launching the app in Claude

  1. Sign in to Claude.
  2. In the Claude text box, click the add icon .
  3. Click Connectors.
  4. Verify that the Zoom toggle is enabled.
    Users can begin chatting with Claude for review and manage their Zoom meetings and meeting assets.

Example prompts and responses

Once Zoom for Claude has been launched in Claude, users can begin using Claude to manage their workload with Zoom. Below are example prompts to begin managing meetings and potential action items from your meetings. Once a question has been answered, users can follow up with additional questions or requests as well. In addition to responses when asking about a meeting, any linked meeting assets that the user has access to will also be accessible within the Claude dialog, including any related docs, files, transcripts, and recordings.

“Can you provide a recap of the 'Q4 budget meeting' this afternoon?”

A summary of the meeting will be generated along with any meeting assets that were linked to the meeting (transcripts, recordings, docs, etc).

“What did Sarah mention about our KPIs?”



A summary of what Sarah mentioned in the meeting will be summarized from the meeting transcript.

In addition, if there were multiple meetings where Sarah mentioned KPIs, the user will be prompted to select a meeting instance before being given a summary.



“Show me where John mentioned potential blockers during the 'Project Alpha meeting'.”



If the user has access to the Cloud Recording, an embedded player will be displayed, and the player will automatically position the timestamp to when the blockers were discussed.

Additionally, if there were multiple instances, the user would be prompted to select which instance they want to view.



“Create a list of action items from the ‘Q1 Strategy Alignment meeting’ yesterday morning.”



Claude will confirm if the user wants to create a new Zoom Doc with the action items. Once the user clicks Create, a Zoom Doc will be generated containing a list of action items.



How to remove the Zoom for Claude app

  1. Log in to the App Marketplace web portal.
  2. Click Manage and then click Added Apps.
  3. Next to the Zoom for Claude, click Remove.
