Android OS version support policy
Certain Zoom Rooms Appliances and Zoom Phone Appliances run an Android operating system based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), owned and managed by the hardware vendor.
Supported Android OS versions
The Android OS versions supported by Zoom on Zoom Rooms Appliances and Zoom Phone Appliances are as follows:
| Android OS version | Last Zoom Rooms Supported Release | End-of-Support date |
|---|
| 9* | December 2026 | March 2028 |
| 10* | June 2027 | September 2028 |
| 11* | June 2028 | September 2029 |
| 12* | May 2029 | August 2030 |
| 13* | May 2029 | August 2030 |
| 14 | July 2030 | October 2031 |
| 15 | July 2031 | October 2032 |
*Google has announced the end of support for these Android OS versions (for example, Android 9, 10, 11, and 12). As a result, Zoom will also end support for Zoom Rooms Appliances and Zoom Phone Appliances running on those Android versions, as outlined in the chart above. While some hardware manufacturers may continue to provide limited fixes for certain devices, remaining on an unsupported Android version can increase security and compliance risk. Zoom therefore recommends upgrading devices to a currently supported Android version whenever possible.
