Uploading bulk desk assignments with AI Companion
Bulk desk assignment uploads allow admins to add up to 1,000 records at once using a CSV (comma-separated values) file, with a maximum file size of 500 KB. Instead of failing when a file contains errors or missing fields, the system processes valid entries and flags issues for review. You can then use the built-in AI Companion (AIC) to correct errors and fill in missing data using plain language instructions—no manual, cell-by-cell editing required.
Requirements for bulk desk assignment uploads
- Account owner or admin role
- Zoom Workplace with Workspace Reservation enabled
- A workspace data file in CSV format
How to import a workspace data file
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an owner or admin.
- In the navigation menu, click Workspaces Management, then Workspaces.
- Click All locations under the Location directory.
- In the upper-right corner, next to the Add workspaces button, click the 3 dots
. - Click Import Workspaces with AI.
- Click the upload box to browse, drop, or paste your CSV file.
CSV format requirements:
- Workspace ID
- (Required) Workspace Name
- (Optional) Display Name
- (Required) Workspace Type
- Calendar service
- Calendar resource
Wait for the AI Companion to process the request.
- On the AI Companion window, scroll down to check the suggestions of the AI.
- (Optional) Click Apply for individual suggestions, or click Apply all to apply all AI suggestions.
- (Optional) If needed, you can also edit the workspace name by hovering over it.
- (Optional) If needed, click Re-upload CSV to upload the CSV file again.
- (Optional) In the chat box, type Import, Yes, or another confirmation statement, then press Enter or click the Up Arrow button to send your message.
- (Optional) Click Import.
You will receive a message saying that the CSV file has been added to the upload queue. - (Optional) Click the 3 dots
and click Import history to check the upload status.
