For a limited time, Zoom is offering eligible users a one-time free trial of ZoomMate capabilities with up to 500 Zoom AI credits to explore agentic AI features, including workflows, deep research, and enterprise search. Zoom AI credits are required to access and use certain metered AI-powered capabilities in ZoomMate. This free trial is subject to Zoom's Free Trial Terms of Service. This article covers who's eligible, how the trial works, and how to upgrade to a paid plan.
The ZoomMate free trial is available to users who are online users in the US only and meet one (1) of the following criteria as of June 1, 2026:
Each eligible user will receive a one-time allocation of up to 500 free trial AI credits. These credits are non-transferable and will be available to the user until they are used or the free trial ends at Zoom's discretion, whichever occurs first.
When you first sign in as an eligible user during free trial availability, you'll see an in-product promotion dialog that explains the offer:
To start the trial, click Start free trial. The credits are added to your account immediately, and you can begin using metered AI features right away.
When you run a metered AI action during the trial, credits are deducted from your trial allocation. Account owners and admins can track your remaining credits from the AI Credits page in the Zoom web portal.
The ZoomMate free trial works differently from paid plans that include AI credits. Key differences:
Once you've consumed all of your trial credits, additional trial credits are not available. To continue using metered AI features, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan with access to AI credits.
Admins on multi-user accounts don't need to manually activate the free trial. The trial is activated for the account as soon as any eligible user, including the admin or a non-admin user, opts in. However, admins can disable access to free trial credits after the free trial has been activated. To manage free trial access after it has been activated:
When a user on your account consumes all of their trial credits and tries to run another metered AI action, they'll see a prompt directing them to contact their admin. You can purchase and assign licenses to account users that include AI credits, which restore access to metered AI features.
How ZoomMate handles your data during the free trial is governed by Zoom's Privacy Statement. For more information, please see How Zoom AI Companion features handle your data.
Account admins can see trial usage data, such as credits consumed.
