Accessing and managing Zoom Clips
Account owners and admins can manage clips created by users directly from the Zoom web portal, including viewing, downloading, sharing, and deleting clips. Admins can also access detailed clip information, such as owner, file size, creation date, and status, to help with searching and filtering content across the account.

Note: Deleted clips are retained in trash for 30 days before being permanently removed, allowing admins to restore clips if needed or permanently delete them.
Requirements for enabling or disabling cloud recording to Zoom Clips
- Basic, Legacy Enterprise, Zoom Workplace Pro or higher, Zoom Meeting EDU, Zoom Workplace for Education, Healthcare new and Online BAA
- Account owner or admin privileges to manage clips
- Clips enabled
How to access clips on your account
As an admin, you can access all clips created from your account.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Clip Management.
The list of clips for your entire account will display information including clip name, owner, file size, and creation time.
How to search for clips created by your users
As an admin, you can search for clips created from your account using the clip title, the name of the author, date, and status.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Clip Management.
- Click the Clips tab.
- In Search by clip name or tag, enter the name or tag of the clip you are looking for, or in the Owner box, enter the name of the owner.
- (Optional) Click Advanced Search to filter by time, creation date, and status.
- Click Search.
How to manage clips created by your users
As an admin, you can manage clips in your account by renaming them, changing their thumbnails, and deleting them.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Clip Management.
- Click the Clips tab.
- To the right of a clip, click the More icon, then choose one of the following:
- Download: Download the clip to your device.
- More:
- Share: Share the clip with others.
- Rename: Rename the clip.
Note: Up to 50 characters can be used. - Change thumbnail: Move or adjust the default image, or click Upload to select an image from your device.
- Download this clip: Download the clip to your device.
- Move to Trash: Delete the clip.
How to share clips created by your users
As an admin, you can share user-created clips with other users, either as standard clips or embedded thumbnails. Standard clips can be shared with optional access restrictions.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation menu, click Account Management, then Clip Management.
- To the far right of a clip, click the More icon, then click Share.
- For general sharing, on the General Share tab, do the following as needed:
- Enter the email address of the user you want to share the clip with, then click Share, or click Copy Link to directly share the clip URL.
- Under Link Access, click the down arrow to choose permissions:
- Anyone with the link: Allow anyone to view the clip without restriction.
- Anyone at your organization: Allow only members within your account to view the clip.
- Only invited members: Only users invited by email can view the clip.
- Click More settings to enable passcode protection for the clip.
- For embedded sharing, on the Embed tab, choose the embed code size settings and copy the embed code or thumbnail.
How to access deleted clips in your account
As an admin, you can delete clips from your account. After deleting a clip, it will remain accessible in Trash for 30 days from the deletion date, after which it will be permanently deleted.
- At the top of Clip Management, click Trash.
A list of clips deleted in the past 30 days will display.
- Identify the following information:
- Name: Name of the clip.
- Owner: Clip owner.
- File Size: Size of the clip.
- Creation Time: Time period from the current date/time when the clip was created.
- Delete Time: Time period from the current date/time when the clip was deleted.
- Time Remaining: Time remaining until the clip is permanently deleted.
- To the far right of a clip, click the More icon, then select one of the following:
- Restore: Retrieve the clip from Trash.
- Delete: Permanently delete the clip.
- (Optional) In the top-right corner, click Empty Trash to permanently delete all clips from your account at once.
