Enabling or disabling obfuscate sensitive data during a call

The obfuscate sensitive data feature redacts confidential information entered through the dialpad during an active call. When this setting is enabled, any digits entered via the on-screen dialpad or keyboard appear as asterisks and don't produce audio feedback or visually light up the dialpad keys. This is especially useful in industries like banking, where a user may need to ask a customer to authenticate their account over the phone without exposing sensitive input on screen.

Account owners and admins can enable or disable this setting at the account, site, group, or user level. The setting takes effect immediately — no client restart is required.

Note: When dialing a number before a call is connected, digits are not obfuscated and dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) tones are not suppressed. Obfuscation only applies while a call is active.
