Pausing and resuming your Zoom Workplace Pro subscription
Customers who meet the eligibility criteria can choose to pause their Zoom Workplace Pro subscription rather than cancel it. The pause will take effect at the end of the current billing period, then extend out the months selected. You can allow your plan to resume automatically after the specified period, or manually resume your plan sooner.
Requirements for pausing or resuming your Zoom subscription
- Zoom Workplace Pro plan with 3 or fewer paid licenses
- Billed monthly
- Account owner, admin, or custom role with billing privileges
How to pause a Zoom Workplace Pro subscription
Customers with Zoom Workplace Pro plans who are billed monthly and have 3 or fewer paid licenses can pause their subscription for up to 3 months at a time. When your subscription is paused, your account will have access to Basic (free) features. Your data remains stored but inaccessible; it will not be deleted during a subscription pause. If you want to regain access to your cloud recordings or other paid features associated with the Zoom Workplace Pro plan type, you can resume your subscription.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner, admin, or a custom role with billing privileges.
- In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
All of your plans will be listed, indicating their renewal dates. - To the right of the Zoom Workplace Pro plan you want to pause, click Manage.
The Manage plan window will appear, where you can choose to edit or cancel the plan. - In the Manage plan window, click Cancel plan.
A confirmation window will appear, and you will have the option to pause your plan. - In the Pause your plan section, choose 1, 2, or 3 months, then click Pause plan.
The plan will be in a Pending Pause state, and the pause will take effect on your next billing date as indicated. If you don’t take any further action to manually resume your plan, it will resume automatically at the end of the pause period.
How to resume a Zoom Workplace Pro subscription
After you pause your Zoom Workplace Pro plan, it will resume automatically at the end of the pause period. If you do not want to wait for it to automatically renew, you can manually resume your plan, depending on whether it is currently in a Pending Pause or Paused state.

When you pause your plan, it will be in a Pending Pause state until the next billing cycle. Before the pause takes effect, you can remove the pending pause request to resume your plan.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner, admin, or a custom role with billing privileges.
- In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
All of your plans will be listed, indicating their renewal dates. - To the right of the Zoom Workplace Pro plan in a Pending Pause state, click Manage.
The Manage plan window will appear. - Click Remove Request.
- Click Yes, Reactivate and Proceed.
You will continue to be charged as usual during your current billing cycle.
Resume a plan in a Paused state
Once the plan is paused, you can choose to restart it instead of waiting for it to resume automatically.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner, admin, or a custom role with billing privileges.
- In the navigation menu, click Plans and Billing then Plan Management.
All of your plans will be listed, indicating their renewal dates. - To the right of the Zoom Workplace Pro plan in a Paused state, click Manage.
The Manage plan window will appear. - Click Restart Plan.
- Click Yes, Reactivate and Proceed.
The pause will end, and you will be billed a prorated amount for your current billing cycle. You will then have access to your Pro features and the ability to make additional purchases.
