Sending bulk SMS messages

Bulk SMS is a Zoom Phone feature that lets you send the same SMS message to up to 25 recipients at once without creating a group chat. This is ideal when you need to notify a group quickly without sending repetitive one-on-one messages.

How to send a bulk SMS message

Follow these steps to send the same SMS message to up to 25 recipients at once. 

Windows | macOS
  1. Sign in to the Zoom Workplace desktop app.
  2. Click the Phone tab .
    Note: If you do not see the Phone tab , click the More tab image.png, then click Phone .
  3. Click the SMS tab.
    Note: If you do not see the SMS tab, make sure the prerequisites are met.
  4. In the top-right corner of the SMS tab, click + New.
  5. Enter the names or phone numbers of the recipients in the To field.
    Note: The system will automatically validate phone numbers and remove duplicates before sending. You can't exceed 25 recipients in a single bulk send.
  6. (Optional) Next to the To field, click the Send separately toggle.
    Note: The Send separately feature lets each recipient receive a private, individual message — they won't see other recipients or receive replies from anyone else. This feature's initial release supports manual, immediate sending only. Scheduling, CSV imports, MMS attachments, and message personalization are not yet available. This is only allowed in individual SMS for this release. Team SMS (auto receptionist or call queue) is not supported.
  7. Type your message in the message field.
  8. Click the Send icon

    Note: If Send separately was toggled on, you will see separate threads for each recipient.

Android | iOS
  1. Sign in to the Zoom Workplace mobile app.
  2. Tap the Phone icon .
    Note: If you do not see the Phone tab , tap the More icon image.png, then tap Phone .
  3. Tap the SMS tab.
    Note: If you do not see the SMS tab, make sure the prerequisites are met.
  4. In the top-right corner of the SMS tab, tap + New.
  5. Enter the names or phone numbers of the recipients in the To field.
