Enabling or disabling QR Pairing Code for the Zoom VDI Plugin
While the Zoom VDI plugin can be paired with the Zoom VDI client manually, the VDI client and plugin can be paired using a QR Pairing Code. While this setting is on by default, administrators can disable the option to pair using a QR code or configure the QR code with a custom URL that takes users to a page built or designated by their organization.

How to enable or disable QR Pairing Code for the Zoom VDI Plugin
Enable or disable QR Pairing Code for the Zoom VDI Plugin for the entire account
This setting allows account owners or admins to enable or disable QR Pairing Code for Zoom VDI Plugin for all users in the account.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center.
- In the side menu, click Settings
. - Click General.
- Under Other, click the QR Pairing Code for Zoom VDI Plugin toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
- (Optional) Under Custom URL for QR code VDI Client and Plugin pairing, click the Edit icon
to set a custom URL to be opened if the user scans the QR code manually.
Note: By default, the URL points to the Zoom Support page. - (Optional) To prevent all users in your account from changing this setting, click the lock icon
, and then click Lock to confirm the setting.
Enable or disable QR Pairing Code for the Zoom VDI Plugin for a group of users
This setting allows account owners or admins to enable or disable QR Pairing Code for Zoom VDI Plugin for a specific group of users. Changes apply only to users in the selected group.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit groups.
- In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center.
- In the side menu, click Users
. - Click Groups.
- Click the applicable group name from the list.
- In the General configuration section, click Edit product settings.
- Click the General tab.
- Under Other, click the QR Pairing Code for Zoom VDI Plugin toggle to enable or disable it.
- If a verification dialog appears, click Enable or Disable to verify the change.
Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at the account level and must be changed at that level. - (Optional) Under Custom URL for QR code VDI Client and Plugin pairing, click the Edit icon
to set a custom URL to be opened if the user scans the QR code manually.
