Certification credit types in Zoom Webinars Plus and Events
Hosts can create multi-level credit structures that automatically calculate and award partial continuing professional education (CPE) credits based on attendee participation levels during sessions. They can also customize each tier for required viewing time, poll responses, and resource access including the congratulatory message for the attendees.
Requirements for managing credit types in Zoom Webinars Plus and Events
Note: For access to the latest Zoom Events and Webinar features, we strongly recommend hosts to
update to the latest version of the Zoom desktop or mobile app.
Understanding Credit Types in Certifications
Hosts can choose to apply either a full or partial credit certification on their event and set the certification criteria for each.
- Full credit: Grants attendees credit only after they complete all certification requirements in full.
- Partial credit: Grants attendees credit for completing part of the certification requirements, based on their level of participation or progress.
Hosts can set the certification criteria based on the following:
- View time: Require attendees to watch the session for a minimum duration.
- Polls answered: Require attendees to participate in polls during the event.
- Resources accessed: Require attendees to access uploaded resources during the event.
Hosts can create up to 20 levels, each with its own set of requirements. They can set a custom congratulatory message for each level and the certificate automatically shows the exact credit amount the attendee earned.

View certification results
After the event, hosts can view each attendee's certification status (full, partial, or none), their progress, and exact credits earned in the Engagement tab in Event analytics.
If an attendee only partially met the certification criteria, hosts can manually approve and issue a certificate that shows the exact credit amount the attendee earned. If a certificate was issued in error, hosts can revoke a certificate which makes the download link and PDF no longer valid.
Attendee experience with partial credit certification
When certification is enabled, attendees will:
- Receive the credit level matching the highest tier they fully completed
- Receive a certificate with their individual credit value automatically applied
