Using ADP for Zoom app with Workforce Management

Account owners and administrators can connect ADP to Workforce Management (WFM) through the Zoom Marketplace and then assign the Marketplace connection inside WFM. Once the connection is assigned, admins can map ADP workers to WFM users, so ADP-backed employee validation and ADP time-entry sync can work correctly.

  2. In the navigation menu, click Workforce Management.
    A new tab will open.

How to map ADP workers to WFM users

User mapping is required before ADP-specific employee validation and downstream ADP sync behavior can work for a WFM user.

Individual mapping

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Workforce Management.
    A new tab will open.
  3. In the navigation menu, click Users.
  4. Click a username to open the right-hand panel.
  5. Open the user record that needs to be linked to ADP.
  6. Click Manage Employee ID.
  7. Enter or select the ADP employee ID for that WFM user.
  8. Click Save.

WFM validates the employee ID against the active ADP integration before completing the mapping. If the employee ID does not exist in ADP, the mapping is rejected.

Bulk mapping

If your account uses the bulk employee ID flow, admins can also map multiple users from the Users page using the bulk employee ID modal. This is useful when onboarding a large number of agents at once.

How to verify the setup

After setup, verify the following:

For onboarding or QA validation, also verify that mapped users can participate in the ADP-backed flows your environment has enabled.

How to troubleshoot the ADP integration with Workforce Management

IssueTroubleshooting steps
The ADP app was added in Marketplace, but WFM still shows a pending integration
  • Refresh the Integrations page.
  • Confirm the Marketplace connection was created successfully.
  • Use Assign ADP Instance to link the Marketplace connection to WFM.
No ADP connection appears in the assign-instance modal
  • Confirm the ADP app was added in Zoom Marketplace for the same Zoom account.
  • Refresh the modal or reopen the ADP setup flow.
  • Verify the ADP integration feature is enabled for the account.
The employee ID cannot be saved
  • Confirm the employee ID exists in ADP.
  • Check that the ADP integration is active and assigned in WFM.
  • Make sure the same employee ID is not already mapped to another WFM user.
The integration is connected, but ADP sync behavior still does not happen for a user
  • Verify the WFM user has a valid ADP employee mapping.
  • Confirm the account has ADP integration enabled.
  • Confirm the relevant downstream flow is part of the currently supported scope.
