Configuring Surveys settings in the web portal
Account owners and admins can configure how surveys behave during meetings and webinars from the Zoom web portal. These settings allow you to control participant experience and data collection, such as whether participant email addresses are gathered when a survey is conducted. How to configure Surveys settings in the web portal
The Surveys tab has account-level settings that apply to all users. You can enable or disable certain survey, poll, and quiz features like email collection and image uploads. The following steps are a few of the settings you can enable or disable.
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an admin with the privilege to edit account settings.
- In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center .
- In the side menu, click Settings
. - Click Surveys.
- Configure these settings as needed:
- Use surveys library to manage surveys, polls, and quizzes: Enables a centralized library where you can create and manage surveys, polls, and quizzes for repeated use across meetings and webinars.
- Allow users to share surveys via links to collect answers: Allows users to copy and share a survey's link with others to collect responses outside a meeting or webinar
- Allow users to launch a poll in chats and channels: Allows any member of a chat or channel to create or select a poll and launch it directly within the conversation
- Allow users to add short answer, long answer, and fill in the blank questions: Enables open-ended question types that allow participants to enter written responses instead of selecting from predefined options.
- Collect respondent email for surveys: When enabled, surveys collect respondent email addresses by default. Hosts can change this to anonymous collection when scheduling a survey. When locked, users cannot change this setting
- Collect respondent email for polls and quizzes: When enabled, polls and quizzes collect respondent email addresses by default. Hosts can change this to anonymous collection when configuring a poll or quiz. When locked, users cannot change this setting
- Allow users to upload images to surveys, polls, and quizzes: Allows users to upload an image for individual questions and add a header image to each survey
- Custom Survey Results Retention: Allows users to set a custom retention period for their own survey results. When disabled, survey results are retained for 15 months by default.
