Enabling or disabling the Zoom Phone Plug-in for Microsoft Teams

Zoom Phone offers a plug-in-based, phone-only app for Microsoft Teams, in addition to the existing Zoom Workplace-dependent integration.

How to enable or disable the plug-in-based experience

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal as an account owner or admin with edit privileges.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click Admin Center.
  3. In the side menu, click Marketplace Management
    Zoom Marketplace will open in a new browser tab.
  4. At the top of the page, enter Microsoft Teams in the search box to find the app.
  5. In your search results, find the Microsoft Teams app and click it.
  6. Under Manage, click Configure app.
  7. Click the Zoom Phone Plug-in toggle to enable or disable it.
  8. If a verification dialog displays, click Confirm to verify the change.

How to continue with the Zoom Workplace-based integration for existing customers

If you don't need the plug-in-based, phone-only experience, no action is required, and your existing integration continues to work as-is. If you're setting up the Zoom Workplace-dependent integration for the first time (or need to reinstall it), follow the steps below.

Install the Zoom Phone for your organization

  1. Download the custom application for Zoom Phone.
  2. Sign in to the Microsoft Teams admin center.
  3. Click Upload new app.
    A pop-up window will appear.
  4. Click Upload to select and upload the zip file you downloaded in step 1.
  5. Sign in to your Microsoft Teams client.
  6. In the left bar, click Apps.
  7. Click Build for your org.
  8. Search for the Zoom Phone for Teams app, and click Add.
