Using the Gainsight for Zoom app
The Gainsight for Zoom app connects your Gainsight CS instance to ZoomMate, so you can look up companies, manage success plans, log and track timeline activities, work with CTAs and their tasks, view opportunities, and update relationships through conversational commands without leaving the Zoom client.
Requirements for using the Gainsight for Zoom app
- A Zoom account owner or Zoom admin
- A Gainsight account with the appropriate permissions to access and manage the data you want to use
How to add the Gainsight for Zoom app
Retrieve Gainsight client ID and Secret
- Sign in to Gainsight as an admin.
- In the navigation menu, click Administration, then click Users and Permissions.
- Click User Management, then click Authentication.
- Click OAuth Applications, then click Add Application.
- In the Add Application dialog, turn on the Enable PKCE toggle.
- In the Callback URL field, enter the redirect URL for your environment.
- Click Add Application to save.
- Copy the Tenant domain, Client ID, and Client Secret that appear after the application is created.
Add and authorize the Gainsight for Zoom app
- Sign in to the Zoom Marketplace with your Zoom account.
- In the top right of your screen, enter Gainsight for Zoom in the search box to find the app.
- In your search results, find the Gainsight for Zoom app and click it.
- Click Add.
- When prompted for the Tenant domain, Client ID, and Client Secret, enter the values copied earlier.
- Complete the authorization steps.

How to remove the Gainsight for Zoom app
- Sign in to the Zoom Marketplace web portal.
- Click My Library.
- Next to Gainsight for Zoom, click the more icon
. - Click Remove.
Data Security for the Gainsight for Zoom app
Communications between this app and Zoom and Gainsight are encrypted:
- Protocol: TLS 1.2

This app stores access credentials in the local data store:
- Gainsight OAuth2 tokens and Zoom OAuth credentials (both user-level only) are stored in an encrypted database.

- Fetch success plans [zm_gainsight_fetch_success_plans]: Retrieves success plans for a specified company, including plan status, owner, due date, and type.
- Update success plan [zm_gainsight_update_success_plan]: Updates fields on an existing success plan, such as due date or status.
- Query timeline activities [zm_gainsight_query_timeline_activities]: Retrieves timeline activities for a specified company, including activity type, subject, notes, and creation date.
- Create timeline activity [zm_gainsight_create_timeline_activity]: Logs a new timeline activity on a company with a specified type, subject, notes, and author.
- Update timeline activity [zm_gainsight_update_timeline_activity]: Updates fields on an existing timeline activity, such as subject or notes.
- Delete timeline activity [zm_gainsight_delete_timeline_activity]: Deletes a specified timeline activity from a company's record.
- Fetch CTAs [zm_gainsight_fetch_ctas]: Retrieves Calls to Action for a specified company, including type, status, priority, owner, and due date.
- Create CTA [zm_gainsight_create_cta]: Creates a new CTA on a company with a specified name, type, priority, owner, and due date.
- Update CTA [zm_gainsight_update_cta]: Updates an existing CTA, such as adding a comment or changing status.
- Fetch CTA tasks [zm_gainsight_fetch_cta_tasks]: Retrieves the tasks associated with a specified CTA.
- Create CTA task [zm_gainsight_create_cta_task]: Creates a new task under a specified CTA with a name, owner, status, priority, and due date.
- Update CTA task [zm_gainsight_update_cta_task]: Updates fields on an existing CTA task, such as status or priority.
- Fetch opportunities [zm_gainsight_fetch_opportunities]: Retrieves opportunities from your Gainsight instance, including stage labels and other deal details.
- Update relationship [zm_gainsight_update_relationship]: Updates fields on a specified relationship record, such as MRR.
