Migrating to the new Zoom Events analytics
Starting with the September 2026 release, all newly created live events and webinars will only use new analytics. Legacy analytics is no longer available for events and webinars plus created on or after September 21st, 2026. Events created before the cutoff will keep full legacy analytics access and will allow switching between new and legacy analytics. New analytics offers improved charts, easier tables, AI-powered insights, and support for every major legacy report downloads plus custom reports. This article explains what changes, what stays the same, and how to use the new analytics experience.
Requirements for using the new Zoom Events analytics
What changes for events created after the cutoff
If you create a live event on or after the September 2026 release date, the following applies:
- The Switch to legacy analytics link is removed entirely
- Any saved preference for legacy analytics is overridden
- If you access a legacy analytics URL for a post-cutoff event, you're redirected automatically to the matching new analytics page
- A one-time banner appears the first time you open analytics for these events, "This event only has new analytics" with a link to the frequently asked questions about the new Zoom Events analytics.
Note: The cutoff is based on the event's creation date, not when sessions are scheduled or when the event is hosted. All sessions and occurrences within the event follow the same rule for the event's entire life.
After the September 2026 release, all legacy analytics charts will be removed from all events, regardless of creation date. If you previously used a legacy analytics chart, the empty space displays the message "This chart is no longer available. Explore our new analytics for more data visualizations."
Note: This applies to both pre-cutoff and post-cutoff events.
What stays the same for events created before the September release
If you created an event before the September 2026 release, nothing changes.
- You keep the legacy analytics access and can switch back and forth between legacy and new analytics for that event
Note: Charts are no longer available in the analytics after the September 2026 release. - Multi-session events and recurring series keep legacy access for all sessions and occurrences, even ones scheduled or created after the September release cutoff
- Events drafted or published before the cutoff keep legacy analytics access, even if you host them after September
- The advance-warning banner from August is removed, since your events keep legacy access permanently
Benefits of the new Zoom Events analytics
- A consistent simplified experience across event types
- Quick downloads for the most important data
- Automatic exclusion of panelist and special role data from results
- Visual charts for key metrics. Download a PNG or the raw data of any chart
- Filterable tables that can also be exported

Navigating the new analytics
New analytics organizes your data into tabs. A one-time onboarding tour walks you through the layout when you first access a post-cutoff event's analytics.
- Summary tab: Gives an overview of headline metrics and comparisons across your event as well as a quick benchmarking snapshot
- Quick Downloads panel: Provides fast access to exports, including Q&A, chat, poll, survey, and registrant data
- People tab: Shows registrant and attendee details with per-session breakdowns
- Engagement tab: Displays Q&A questions, poll results, and engagement signals from your event
- Reports tab: The new home for custom reports and legacy reports. A persistent info icon on this tab confirms that custom and legacy reports are now located here.
