Using calculations in Forecast

Forecast provides sales teams with a configurable list of basic and formula calculations as tools for pipeline analytics. This article goes into more detail about navigating the calculations page in Forecast, creating different types of calculations, and managing them.

How to access calculations in Forecast

Web
  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the Zoom Products icon .
  3. In the Zoom Products menu, click Revenue Accelerator .
    Revenue Accelerator will open in a new browser tab.
  4. In the side menu, click Forecast then Calculations.

Windows | macOS | Linux
  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop app.
  2. In the navigation bar, click the Revenue tab .
    Note: If you do not see the Revenue tab , click the More tab , then click Revenue .
  3. In the side menu, click Forecast then Calculations.

How to add a calculation in Forecast

To create a forecast calculation, follow these steps:
  1. In the top-right corner, click Add calculation then select the type of calculation to create:
    The calculation creation window will appear.

  2. Configure the details depending on whether it's a basic calculation or a formula calculation.
  3. In the top-right corner, click Save.

How to configure a calculation in Forecast

Configure a basic calculation

  1. Under Name, enter the calculation name.
  2. (Optional) Under Description, enter a brief description of the calculation.
  3. Under Base object, select Deals.
  4. Under What's aggregated and how, select the aggregation type:

  6. (Optional) Under Apply conditions, click Add condition then configure the fields of the condition for the calculation.
    Note: A calculation can have multiple conditions.
  7. Under Define team member and date attributes, select the basis for which attributes can results be viewed

  8. To the right of the page, under Preview, select the Team and Period from the dropdown to test your calculation details and to make changes as needed.

Configure a formula calculation

  1. Under Name, enter the calculation name.
  2. (Optional) Under Description, enter a short label of what the calculation is for.
  3. Under Base object, select Deals.
  4. Under Formula, enter the formula to be calculated with the following options:

  5. Under Formatting, select the calculation's number type from the dropdown:

  6. To the right of the page, under Preview, select the Team and Period from the dropdown to test your calculation details and to make changes as needed.

To find a specific calculation to manage for editing, duplicating, or deleting, follow any of these steps:

Edit a calculation

To edit a calculation, follow these steps:
  1. Search for the calculation to manage.
  2. To the right of the calculation, click the more icon then Edit.
    The calculation editing window will appear.
  3. Configure the details depending on whether it's a basic calculation or a formula calculation.
  4. In the top-right corner, click Save.

Duplicate a calculation

To duplicate an existing calculation, follow these steps:
  1. Search for the calculation to manage.
  2. To the right of the calculation, click the more icon then Duplicate.
    The calculation creation window will appear populated with the details from the duplicated calculation.
  3. Enter a name for the duplicated calculation.
  4. (Optional) Configure the details depending on whether it's a basic calculation or a formula calculation.
  5. In the top-right corner, click Save.

Delete a calculation

To delete a calculation, follow these steps:
  1. Search for the calculation to manage.
  2. To the right of the calculation, click the more icon then Delete.
    The delete confirmation dialog will appear.
  3. Click Delete calculation to permanently remove the calculation.
