Zoom virtual background system requirements The virtual background feature allows you to display an image or short video as your background during a Zoom meeting. Virtual background setups vary in their system requirements. For example, video virtual backgrounds and virtual background without a green screen require more system resources, and therefore have higher system requirements.

When comparing your processor with the requirements below, the generation of your processor can be determined by the first digit (or two) of the processor number, while the remaining 3 digits are the model number. For example, an Intel Core i7-6700 is the 700 model of the 6th generation of i7 processors.

Sending HD video when using virtual background
When using virtual background without a green screen, your outgoing video resolution is capped at 720p. To achieve 1080p when using virtual background without a green screen, you must meet the HD video guidelines and the following system requirements:
