Using non-verbal feedback and meeting reactions

Provide non-verbal feedback and reactions during meetings (participants)

To provide non-verbal feedback or reactions to the host of the meeting:

1. Join a Zoom meeting as a participant.
2. In the meeting controls toolbar, click the React icon .
3. Choose from the following icons or click to choose from a full set of emojis. Click the icon again to remove it.
   
   • Clapping Hands
   • Thumbs Up
   • Heart
   • Tears of Joy
   • Open Mouth
   • Party Popper (Tada, Celebration)
   • (To access the full emoji suite, if allowed by the meeting host)
   • Yes
   • No
   • Slow Down
   • Speed Up
   • I'm away
   • Raise Hand / Lower Hand
   • Be right back
   The icon will appear in your video panel and next to your name in the participants list.

Set the skin tone for your reactions (Windows and macOS)

1. In the Zoom desktop app, click your profile picture and then click Settings.
2. Click the General tab.
3. Under Emoji and reactions skin tone, select the skin tone you want to use for emojis and reactions.

Manage non-verbal feedback and meeting reactions (hosts)

Non-verbal feedback and meeting reactions will be displayed in each participant's video panel, as well as next to their name in the Participants panel. Click the Participants icon to view a full list of participants and their meeting reactions.

In the participants list, you can view and manage feedback using these features:

• If a participant clicked on a non-verbal feedback or meeting reaction icon, you'll see that icon beside their name.
• The number above each non-verbal feedback or meeting reaction icon shows how many participants have clicked on that icon.
• If a participant clicked Raise Hand, you can lower their hand by hovering over their name and clicking Lower Hand.
• To clear all non-verbal feedback at once, click Participants , then , then Clear All Feedback.
• Emoji (meeting) reactions will disappear after 10 seconds, while raise hand and non-verbal feedback, such as Yes, No, Slow down, and Speed Up, will be persistent and must be manually removed by the participant or host.

Click the Participants icon to see a list of participants and their non-verbal feedback.

In the participants list, you can view and manage feedback using these features:

• If a participant clicks on a feedback icon, you'll see that icon beside their name.
• The number above each feedback icon shows how many participants have clicked on that icon.
• If a participant clicked Raise Hand, you can lower their hand by hovering over their name and clicking Lower Hand.
• To clear all non-verbal feedback at once, click Participants , then clear all.
• Emoji reactions will disappear after 10 seconds, while raise hand and non-verbal feedback, such as Yes, No, Go slower, and Go faster, will be persistent and must be manually removed by the participant or host.

2. Tap More.
3. At the top of the menu, choose from the following icons or tap the ellipsis icon to choose from the full set of reactions.
   Note: You can only have one icon active at a time.
   The icon will appear in your video panel and next to your name in the participants list.

Manage non-verbal feedback and meeting reactions (hosts)

You can view and manage feedback using these features:

• If participants have given non-verbal feedback, the non-verbal feedback and reactions will be displayed in each participant's video panel, as well as next to their name in the Participants panel. The Participants panel will display the number of participants that have selected that icon.
• To remove all non-verbal feedback icons:
  1. In the meeting controls toolbar, tap More.
  2. Tap Participants.
  3. In the top-right corner of the Participants panel, tap the ellipsis icon .
  4. Tap Clear all feedback.
• If a participant clicked Raise Hand, you can lower their hand at any time in the participants list. Tap their name, then tap Lower Hand.
