Using the audio library to customize audio greetings

Zoom Phone users can use the audio asset library to select, record, or upload custom audio. You can also convert text to speech if you want a quick and easy method to generate audio.

How to add an audio file from the audio asset library

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click My account.
  3. In the side menu, click Zoom Phone.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. Under the Business Hours or Closed Hours, below Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit.
  6. Click Choose from asset library
    A pop-up window will appear.
  7. Select the desired audio file then click Save.

How to add your audio asset manually

You can add or text audio by entering text to be converted to audio.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click My account.
  3. In the side menu, click Zoom Phone.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. Under the Business Hours or Closed Hours, below Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction, click Edit
  6. Click Add Audio, then follow the instructions below to add audio via text to speech, upload, or record by computer.

Add a text-to-speech audio asset

  1. Access your audio asset settings.
  2. Click the Text to speech tab.
  3. Specify the following:
  4. Click Add.
    If you're updating an asset that's already in use, you will see a pop-up notification that the asset is in use. Click Save to confirm the update.

Upload an audio file

You can upload an existing audio file from your computer. The audio file type must be MP3 or WAV and must be less than 10MB.

  1. Access your audio asset settings.
  2. Click the Upload tab.
  3. Specify the following:
  4. Under Audio upload, click Upload.
  5. Click Add.

Add an audio file recorded from your computer

You can use your computer’s microphone to record audio and then add it to the asset library.

  1. Access your audio asset settings.
  2. Click the Record by Computer tab.
    Note: You will be prompted by your browser to allow Zoom to use your microphone, click accept/allow to continue.

How to add an audio file to your hold music

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click My account.
  3. In the side menu, click Zoom Phone.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. Under the Others section, to the right of Hold Music, click Edit.

How to edit an audio asset file

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the top-right corner, click your profile picture or initials, then click My account.
  3. In the side menu, click Zoom Phone.
  4. Click the Settings tab.
  5. In the Call Handling or Others section, under your Greeting & Leave voicemail instruction or Hold Music, click Edit.
  6. Select Choose from Asset Library.
  7. To the right of the asset name, click the ellipsis , then click Edit.
  8. Make the necessary changes, then click Save.
    If you're updating an asset that's already in use, you will see a pop-up notification that lists where the asset is used. Click Continue to confirm the update.
  9. (Optional) After clicking the ellipsis , you can download or delete the file if necessary.
